We had a mini van collect us from the airport (which we booked in advance and cost €45 approx) when we eventually located the driver. It took approx 35 mins to Playa Blanca. Had we been more awake we would have asked the driver to stop at the roundabout with the anchor. He had no idea where he was going so we drove around and around until I telephoned Maria at Ereza who came and collected us. She was friendly and helpful. The green painted Casa Domingo was beautifully clean inside with marble like staircase. We stayed in no 5 which had 2 beds kitchen/sitting room corridor and bathroom all beautifully clean. A substantial terrace overlooking the sea. One drawback was the HARD double bed however a softer topper was soon brought which made the bed reasonably ok. We couldn't get Sky on TV so a man came and showed us how unfortunately only 2 news channels available and one or two other unmemorable ones. Plenty of cafes and restaurants none outstanding until we found Tiramisu which seems to be pretty good. This is located off the main shopping street close to Casa Domingo with a terrace overlooking the sea. We had coffee and cake most days at Mama Rossa. Also popped into posh hotel Princesa Yaiza for a swim. The weather in Feb was pretty good some cloud bit windy. The cleaner is great and does a good job clean towels regularly. We are enjoying ourselves I hope you do too.

Lanzarote Calling!

We booked apartment 4 in this complex having never visited Lanzarote and given the reasonable price we had fairly ordinary expectations. When we entered the apartment we couldn't believe how good it was. The kitchen was brand new and well equipped, the bedrooms had comfortable beds and the balcony overlooking the ocean was a superb place to take in the sun or relax on an evening without letting in much of the local hubbub. The location was equally good, on the dge of Playa Blanca with bars, restaurants and shops right outside if you wanted them, but far enough away from the main areas that we slept each evening with the doors to the balcony open and never heard a thing. I can't recommend these apartments enough. One note however - there is no A/C in the rooms, but with the windows open all night we always slept really well and never missed it.
