Pro's: (1) the staff is very friendly (actually we got in touch only with Sergio) and always ready to help you; (2) a big thanks to Sergio because he let us check-in at 6:30am (we arrived at 6:00am and after calling him, he came as fast as he could); (3) it is a very charming place; (4) the room as well as the bathroom was very big, with wonderful furniture as well as all the amenities we could need; (5) breakfast was good; (6) parking lots are available a few meters from the property; (7) wifi signal is very good everywhere.

Con's: (1) the room was very cold (I cannot imagine how much it could be cold during winter); (2) the property is a bit far away from everything (of course this could be a plus if you love to stay in the countryside).

All in all my final mark is 8,5/10.

Charming place but...

Really charming restored rural house on the outskirts of Lugo. The owner of this property has gone to a lot of effort to make this property beautiful and has nearly achieved that.

 The service is what you expect in rural Spain, very personal and warm, nothing was to much trouble.

The negative was while so much effort was spent on making the house so beautiful they forgot about the finer details. The beds were uncomfortable and the rooms could have been warmer, I would have paid more money to have a comfortable bed.

All said I really enjoyed the experience and if they had better beds I would return 100%.

Charming

we stayed for 1 night and opted for an evening meal as we had completed a long motor bike ride. The property is wonderful and rustic with authentic decor. it is fairly isolated so be prepared for a drive into the  nearest village or have evening meal as part of a package. a lovely dry stone wall surrounded the  property, which created a relaxing patio area for evening drinks.
Evening meal was basic but delicious, we opted for the beef. Breakfast was freshly fried eggs on bread, again very delicious.
if you are fancying a country break from it all this is the place to stay. The owner could not have done more to make our stay better. The bedrooms are basic and cool.

Relaxing stay

When we arrived it was raining and really cold. There was only one person in the house (the owner?) who showed us the room and helped us with the luggage, but paid no attention to us in any other way. 
The room we got was small and really cold. Also the entire house was cold. In the evening a reasonable meal was prepared. I asked for a glass of white wine but a bottle was opened which was charged at a high price.
The house itself is interesting since the casa rural dates from 1763. It is located in the countryside at Esperante not far from Lugo. However, the entire stay was a weird experience with a man runnig around cleaning the rooms without speaking a word while we were sitting and waiting in a cold unwelcoming environment.

Very disappointing stay

Very friendly staff! We could not have wished for a better hospitality.
This is an old farm house, completely remodelled with very good taste. You can see the rock on all the walls giving it a very rural feel. Although it was very cold outside, the house was very warm and cozy. The breakfast was very good!
I highly recommend Casa Pardo!
