The location is first rate, but the room is quite basic.

I found the elderly owner very friendly, despite the language barrier, we soon developed hand signals and broken Spanish/English to communicate. He was very hospitable.

The WiFi is decent and the rooms are clean, if not very modern. 

I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Basic, but really nice.

The location of the pension is great at the city center of Madrid (really close to Puerta del Sol). The room facilities are not great to be honest, but on the other hand there is everything that you need to have a nice staying in Madrid.

Low-cost and in the city center

If u are looking for something cheap and close to the puerta del Sol (centre) this is maybe something for you.. 22€ per night for one bed room is one of the cheapest in Madrid.. rooms are clean, have free Wi-Fi, need to wait 10 mins for hot water in shower but it is not problem to me. Good value for money. Recommend and hoping to be there some more times.. 

Nice and cheap

We arrived at the hostel to find A cardboard box lift-bad start! We checked in and made our way to the room which smelt. We left for the night around 6pm to where we was explained in Spanish how to get back into the hostel by pressing 5 on the buzzer downstairs. We returned around 3am after a night out in Sol to the main door where nobody answered, having waited 20 minutes we decided to press the other buttons as we had no option, The older Spanish owner came down throwing his weight around shouting at us in Spanish, we had no idea what he was saying. This came across very aggressive and disrespectful. 

We woke around 11:45 a little later than expected due to a day of traveling and late night and the older owner walked into our room without knocking dead on 12pm Making the beds while my bag was sat on the bed. We left the room without making too much fuss to finish tidying our bags and put our coats on but he Came out the room demanding we left in a very aggressive manor. All we was doing was getting prepared for the day ahead. He continued to shout in Spanish to us fully aware that we are English. 

We have never met anyone so rude in our lives! 
DO NOT STAY!
