Very disappointed with this stay. I spent five nights in this residence. The very unhealthy reception, the room overlooking the main street, without double glazing, incredible noise all day and night. I couldn't sleep with the windows open, so very hot. No air conditioning. The bed with springs! The common bathroom is dirty. I don't recommend this residence at all, except for its good location.

Extremely noisy

It was sold as a boarding house and turned out to be a university residence. The first and only thing that saved was the friendly staff and excellent location, in the center of the city but nothing more. My experience was tremendous. To begin with, we saw on the Internet this Pension at a low price and some photos of a new and renovated site. Upon arrival, what draws attention is that it is not a princely, but a student residence, old, cutter, hot and dirty. They gave us a room that looked like a hospital room, two beds, a table and huge cabinets that occupy the entire room, nothing to do with the photos. Without a bathroom, an old door and a room with a closed balcony (station and no opening) was already empty, everything was dirty and the lake was abandoned, the bathroom was empty, and we never looked back.

Nefasto is the name given to Nefasto.

I booked two nights but stayed one, extremely hot. Not to repeat, is cheap but no towels , noisy , shared bathrooms, no air conditioning. Location is good, you are in the center of the city, in my opinión is the only positive thing.

If you're reading here how bad the pension is, please consider the category. You can't expect five stars for the money in Malaga. The rooms are simple, the bathrooms are clean, but on the hallway and breakfast is very simple. But it's super centrally located and really cheap. I think it's great for a short trip, especially if you don't spend your time in the room. I really just slept and showered there. And I would do it again on a short trip.

Simple but good

Small spacious room with ventilator, bathroom with shower rather distant from the room but very clean!, environment in the middle, breakfast included but really embarrassing in my opinion and not only negative; the location is however excellent in the heart of the historic center with ice cream shops, lounges and bars, you can drive until late at night, also near the bus stop to the airport.

NEGATIVE: *Never slept in 3 nights as so so noisy.
*Environment is so sad it'd give you goose bumps; there are some fabulous old buildings but THIS ONE is creepy.
*We never found anyone at the reception, neither staff around to refer  to: ghost house.
*Poor breakfast, We decided to skip it even if we paid for it; that underground room is quite scary.
* Zero welcome, no goodbye to guests. Why would you bother working in this field? The young lady we handed the keys to when we left was VERY RUDE.

However very clean, congrats to the cleaners who apparently are the only ones doing a good job.

EXTREMELY SAD PLACE+ VERY NOISY

Right in the heart of the old city. Excellent location if you like to be where everyone and the buzz is. But its rather noisy both inside and outside the building. Rooms are basic. Clean though. Same for the shared bathrooms. Breakfast is included, but for just a few euros you can have a much beter start of the day in a nice place than the toast and juice you are offered here. If you want a cheap centrally located place and you don’t mind noises all that much, this is a good option. 

Noisy

Compared to the other hostels I stayed in on my tour around Spain, this was poor value for money although I did visit during Semanta Santa when prices were higher. The shared bathrooms were kept clean enough but the bedrooms are incredibly shabby and just didn’t feel clean - really in a state of disrepair with peeling paint, dirty looking floors, musty smell. Location however is excellent. Can’t comment on breakfast as I didn’t try it. I think it used to be a halls of residence for students or doubles as one— and it does feel very much like that. Three stars given due to location and helpful/friendly staff. 

Expensive for what you get 

An excellent location in the city center. Very attentive staff, very clean everything and a great quality-price ratio. As a negative part, the wifi connection didn't work and the shared bathroom door where the showers are located on the 1st floor no cerraba. Recommended for travelers with an adjusted budget.

Perfect for adjusted budgets.

Was very happy with the value and, although it is an old building, they'd done their best to keep it tidy and well presented. The room was basic but clean and the nearest shower/toilet was literally across the hallway - again well maintained but a little shabby. The staff spoke almost no English but they were friendly and there were no complaints there. The location is superb - literally 30 seconds walk to a lovely old plaza and a minute from the main shopping street in town, right in the heart of all the restaurants, bars, shops and museums/galleries. Literally the only problem was that the streets are busy late into the morning and revellers are often rowdy - then the street weepers start up at about 6am so getting to sleep was tricky. In then end I wrapped my pillow around my head and it muffled the noise enough to stop it being distracting! WiFi was good and we didn't try the breakfasts - Cafe Central is 1 minutes away and the Hot Chocolate & Churros are to die for!
