We had a great 2 week stay at camping Buganvilla, we stayed in the open area which is like a pine forest so it was cool despite there being a heat wave at the time. The bathrooms were clean and there was soap and toilet paper fully stocked at all times. They have 3 or 4 industrial washing machines and dryers so we never had to wait to use one even in August. The staff were friendly and helpful. The kids loved the two swimming pools, we were there twice a day! There is a pedestrian bridge to cross the dual carriageway right by the camp site so it's easy to cross and walk down to the beach, we also found a dog park just opposite the campsite. Close to Marbella and has supermarkets within walking/biking distance.

Great stay

I was looking into buying a caravan for this site. I had my heart set on this particular site as it is close to the beach and Marbella etc. I am so glad I watched the videos on the actual site it showed the communal pool basically sat on top of the motorway. The campsite in general looked very run down. If I’m paying out £45,000 for a brand new caravan I would expect the area to be presentable. I noticed in some of these reviews that there are a lot of families that pitch up for a couple of nights who are below standards. I wouldn’t feel comfortable allowing my children to roam around not actually knowing who is on the site. Security would be one of my main factors. So to sum this up definitely do your research and definitely read reviews it helps. So disappointed as I had my heart set on this but the communal pool on the motorway is a definite no no for me :(

Always do your research

The staff at this site were very friendly and helpful.  It had a bit of a shanty town appearance with some of the pitches that were obviously long stay.  The bathrooms were clean and plenty of hot water.  

Although road noise is mentioned by other reviewers, we didn’t find this to be a problem.  The main reason for us only staying for one night was the access to the beach.  It was necessary to cross the busy road by pedestrian bridge.  The noise was very loud and our two dogs were terrified, coaxing them across and back k again the once was enough for us, so we moved on.

Didn’t suit us

We hired a bungalow for two weeks in Oct 2019. It was easily the worst accommodation we have ever stayed at. Sorry we booked it and would have gone elsewhere except we had plans locally and were stuck.
Cramped, dark, dismal, badly equipped. No towels, no oven, no kettle, no toaster, only two electric rings. No fresh bedding in two weeks. WiFi was poor even though it had to be paid for. Window mesh to keep bugs out had a gap at bottom making it useless. Groups of rowdies in other bungalows making a noise all through the night, so sleep was impossible. Lighting was so poor it was not possible to read in the evening. Furniture was only and poor quality. The only outdoor seating was a hard wooden bench. The worst place we have ever stayed, very sorry we booked it.

Bungalow for hire

This camping is the closest to the town centre of Marbella. The city can easily be reached by bus 220, that takes you there in less than half an hour. WiFi only in the noisy pool area. Rest of the camping is quiet. Not all places are large enough or flat.

Actually it is a nice camping. Just the noise of the A7 can be a bit to much. The douches could be better, much better to be exact. The people running it make up for it though. The prices are okay but during season to much for what is offered on sites.
