We stayed in Merida for one night on our way from Santander.  The apartment was very spacious and clean and excellent value for money.  We were met on arrival and everything was perfect.  There were places nearby to eat and you could walk into Town in about 20 mins.  Would definitely stay again. 

Spacious apartments in excellent location 

We were two couples cominf to see the Roman Buildings and Ruins of Mérida and needed somewhere comfortable to stay, I trawled through Trip Advisor and came up with this gem.  Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles and both with en suite bathrooms, perfect.
All manner of implements in the kitchenette as well as glasses and crockery, all very well thought out.  There was no oven but a microwave did us just as well.
Outside there are seating areas, a pool and a Barbeque to use if required.

Two Day Stay in Comfort

It's often hard to find somewhere for 5 of us (2 adults & 3 children - 12, 11, 10) to stay when away. This is an ideal place. Merida is a lovely town with some great sites. 

The apartment is done out really well and has everything you need including WIFI, 2 en suite bedrooms and a double sofa bed. The kitchen is really well equipped. We paid €110 for the night in the middle of August & this compares favourably to 2 rooms in a hotel. We did this through booking.com. 

It's very clean, the owner is very friendly and it feels very modern.

A great place...easy & comfortable

We've been booking apartments through Trip Advisor for a couple of years now - in Berlin, Barcelona and the UK.  This one in Merida did NOT disappoint us.  The price was good (€50 per night) and the location easy to find, with free off-street parking outside the gate.  The apartment was fresh and modern with all necessary equipment such as fully equipped kitchen, TV, internet and hi-tech shower-room.  The owner, named Angel, really was angelic and could not have been more helpful, pointing out the sights of Merida and even providing fresh milk in the fridge when we arrived.  One important note - Angel is on site in the mornings but if you arrive later then you need to call him as he lives about 10 minutes away and you'll get no answer from the buzzer on the gate.
We really enjoyed our stay here.  The bed was comfortable and we had all we needed for our stay.  We ate out both nights we were there, but we could easily have self-catered if we'd wanted to as there is a hob and microwave to cook on.  The flat-screen TV only had spanish channels but we could pick up all we needed of UK news via the internet.  And our visits to Merida's sites meant that we went to sleep soon after coming back to the apartment in the evening.  There is a pool (closed in the winter/spring though) and a charming small garden with a barbecue where you could eat out with your fellow guests (I think there were 5-6 apartments in the block).
When we researched the hotels in Merida centre most of them looked scruffy and/or expensive.  This apartment is an easy 10-15 minutes walk away from the centre.  But you do get the benefit of seeing more of the town, ESPECIALLY the amazing Aqueduct Los Milagros which is just down the street from the apartment, together with the lovely riverside walks along the Guadiana.  Angel, the owner, is to be congratulated on his honest and excellent mission to provide good value and a pleasant stay for visitors to Merida.  5 stars from us!
