We stayed here after a very difficult day on the camino.  The trip to Molinaseca is a tough one and when you arrive in town, seeing the picturesque river and quaint town, it is so amazing.  The hotel was perfect for a night's stay.  Our room had windows that opened up to the patio where people were enjoying the evening. There is a restaurant for breakfast and it is centrally located.  The front desk basically closes down, so once you check in, it is self-serve and you let yourself in and out with a key.

Lovely place to stay

Hot. Asked for a fan and told they don’t have any. I live in Spain so not surprised by noise. But this very noisy:  bars (not just the one that is part of the hostal) heard every plate as it was stacked . Street noise and light prohibited opening the window door for air. Not to mention no privacy as my first floor street side room allowed the bed to be seen from the street. I had the menu at the restaurant. Mediocre and poor service.

This is not close to typical for a Spanish hostal. Just a tourist hotel out for your money. After a difficult day on the Camino this was not what I expected. So getting up before dawn and leaving ASAP.

Impossible to sleep 

Hotel very conveniently situated on the Camino as you enter the town. Very well appointed room, although ceiling slightly low for a tall person, very comfortable bed. Bar and restaurant excellent for meeting & socialising with Camino friends after a hard day's walk.

Very nice small hotel

The Hostal el Palacio in Molinaseca was very good. The location was excellent as it is right on the Camino de Santiago as one enters Molinaseca across a Roman bridge. The receptionist was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Both check-in and check-out were very easy. My bike was locked securely overnight.
The room was of a decent enough size and overlooked the river and bridge into the town. It had a sloping roof. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was exceptionally large. The shower was good. I had no complaints.

A good overnight stop on the Camino

Nice small hotel in this quaint little town. Basic and clean. Breakfast is served in th adjoining bar and, again, is very basic but for €2 more than good value. Can be a bit noisy as it is on the main street

Simple and pleasant

Comfortable and centrally located. Located adjacent to bridge over river and terrace overlooking the river. Restaurant open for lunch and dinner as well as in-between. Room clean, good size, hot shower and window opening onto street. Quiet overnight. Breakfast as usual for region. Located on Camino. 

Central location on the Camino

Check in was easy when we arrived at this hostal. We were shown our room which was quite nice. The hostal is right on the Camino as you come into town. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a shower and was clean and modern. After a certain hour there is no one at the front desk so you have to go into the bar to get assistance. That was not a problem except the people in the bar didn't seem to want to help.  When it came to food we were only able to get a drink because no food was being served and the woman who waited on us outside seemed to be  "put out" that she had to get us drinks.  We ended up eating elsewhere because food wasn't served until about 7:30 - 8pm. and we had arrived about 1:00 pm  The room was nice and we had a good view so all and all we were pleased. It was the service that was lacking a bit.

Stopped here after a long day on the Camino. Friendly staff in the bar. Asked for an extra blanket for the bed and got it. Temperatures were low despite being mid September. Evening meal simple but fish soup tasty. Could hear other guests moving about particularly early risers.
