We were in Asturias so that my husband could try to ride the Angliru.  Most cyclists seem to stay in Pola de Lena when trying to ride Angliru.  We got to Pola de Lena without any reservations.  I found one place that looked good on the internet; but by the time we decided to take it the last room had been booked.  We drove thru the town, which was busy with very - very narrow roads.  It was crowded and hectic and even though I have traveled the world, this town freaked me out!  So there we were with no where to stay and me swearing we would not stay anywhere in Pola de Lena!
Back to the internet searching for a vacation apartment rental or hotel.  I found a listing for Apartamentos Rurales Argame.  The pictures looked good, so I had my Spainish husband call.  They had an apartment available, but you had to stay at least two nights.  I wasn't sure I wanted to be in Asturias more than overnight but we agree to the two night stay.
What incredibly nice owners of the apartments.  They knew a bit about the road bike rides and definitely how to get to the big climbs.  They told us where the market was (one town away).  They brought us fresh tomatos, peppers, some kind of nuts and a bottle of cidre. 
The apartment was immaculate.  The kitchen was well supplied with everything you would need.  We ended up staying 4 nights.  We would have stayed longer but it was time for us to come home.
Asturias doesn't freak me out anymore!  We plan on staying here again in September 2017.
