The Hostel was lovely, clean and very comfortable but the staff are the jewel of this place, Galician nature and hospitality at it's best. Nothing but friendliness, warmth and helpfullness, made it feel like coming home, which it kinda was as it's my mothers home town, where as a child I spent many summer's in la casa de mi Abuela. x

The wonderful staff here made our holiday :)

We stayed in this hostel for two nights. The staff is so friendly and nothing is too much trouble to them. It is so unbelievable clean and very central to the village and also to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped.

Fabulous

This is one of the friendliest, most welcoming hostels on the whole of the Camino de Santiago.  The staff are friendly and helpful and really go the extra mile for you, and they all speak English well, which is really helpful if your Spanish fails you (as mine often does).  It is a really nice place to wind down and chill out after walking 850km, and Muxia itself is a really special place, with an authentic celtic flavour, which makes this Scotsman feel almost at home.

Very Friendly, Wonderful Staff

We stayed 2 nights in one of the two private rooms they have on the top floor.  Spacious, super clean, modern.  They have a tv if you want one and great WiFi.  Views of the water.

Laundry machines and self cleaning in the basement with indoor drying.  Although we did not stay in the albergue floors the bunks here have steps up in between bunks versus ladders and curtains and lockers.

Full kitchen great for self catering. Elevator and foot soaking tub in the basement which eased my swollen feet.

On top of that the staff is super nice and so hospitable.  Always a smile and hello each time you see them.  We couldn’t have finished off our Camino in any better way!

Would definitely stay and recommend.  Muxia is magical and they just exemplify the Camino spirit!

Superb Ending to our Camino

This albergue was a great ending to my
Camino this year. It costs a couple euros more than the other albergues in town (15 euros) but it is worth it. 

Sparkly clean everywhere, helpful bilingual staff, full kitchen, comfortable beds with privacy curtains and STAIRS to the top bunks, good shower pressure (though water was warm but not warm enough for me); clothe washing facility for a few euros, rooftop patio, provided real towel free of charge, locker for your bag, plug in bed, access after hours with a code to the door so you can go watch the sunset after 10pm, centrally located, 3 min walk from the bus stop, right on the Camino, less than 10 min walk to the lighthouse and beach, etc. Also super strong wifi everywhere.

The only thing that would make this place even better is real sheets and duvet for the bed but honestly it was some of the best I’ve seen as a whole and i can’t complain a bout anything. 

The lady who hosted made a point to say goodnight to everyone and she always had a nice smile on. I will stay here again on my next Camino. 

Amazing albergue

When we asked to stay at the albergue, it was full but Aure offered my wife and I her aunt's flat 1 minute away. It was a perfect, clean and lovely space after a long Camino and very reasonable. Aure was so helpful and her english is perfect and she and her mum run a lovely albergue. We even bought fish from the local market on their recommendations. Fond memories from Judy and Jim.

Lovely Warm Welcome

This is a luxurious alburgue. Key pad entrance code into alburgue at night. Excellent bunk beds with built in steps up to top bunks. Very new, very modern. Its almost like a luxury hotel except for shared rooms. Bunks have own power point, light and curtains to pull across your bunk For extra privacy and feeling of ow. Private space. Exceptionallt clean. The host is a lovely friendly woman. This is the rolls royce of alburgues.kitchen is well appointed and has wverythibg. Its central. Trust me. You will not be disappointed. It is without doubt the most well appointed and most luxurious alburgue on the entire Camino frances from St Jean Pied de port.
