We spent almost a week in the apartment  of Añarre Zara (two adults and a 18 months child). There is one apartment in the rural house. It is well- equipped and spacious with a nice terrace. The house was ideal for enjoying San Sebastian and the coast while living in nature. My daughter enjoyed very much the playground in the garden, running after the kitties, looking at the sheeps and horses. The family is very welcoming and looked after our needs promptly. There is a common kitchen and a nice veranda to chill out. Breakfast is good - note however that it is mainly 'sweet' (no ham or cheese). A supermarket is at 5-10 minutes reach by car as well as the bus stop for San Sebastian (handy particularly during the busy week of 'semana grande'). 

Hospitality and nature

Very nice accommodation for my 3 some (parents with one child). Very clean, pastoral setting, great views of green farmland all about, horses, sheep... Shared kitchen, good breakfast, very helpful staff. The grandfather even let my daughter help lead the sheep out to a pasture and we got to watch their sheep dog herd those animals like a pro! We were a little dismayed by the older dog being constantly tied up and whining, civilized city folk may be too sensitive for this.

Agro Tourism Farm House!

Me and my fiancée went to the Basque Country to eat in the famous restaurant "Mugaritz". Since the dinner was supposed to take a while and it would end late, I decided to look for a hotel close to the restaurant... I could not have decided best!

Añarre Zarra is a charmful place, located in the hills with a nice view and a peaceful environment. We stayed in a room located in the top floor of the house. Very big, but at the same time very cosy...

And, at the same time, the hotel is very close to the "San Sebastián's" city center (15-20 min by car).

But, in spite of all these qualities, what really makes this hotel an excellent place to stay is its services. Ms. Estibaliz Ruiz, the owner, is a lovely person and she was very nice since the beginning, when I made the reservation. And her attention to us continued until the end, when we checked out.
