We are currently staying at the pension oliva as it is now called. We were met at the property by the owner, she was friendly and spoke good English.
We have ground floor double room which is perfect as my wife has mobility problems. It is clean and comfortable and has a small private courtyard. The WiFi is good which is handy as the TV only has Spanish channels. The hotel is situated right in the centre of the town on a quiet side street just off the main paseo where most of the bars and restaurants are situated. 
There is limited parking outside the hotel but plenty can be found within a couple of hundred yards. 
Overall I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to be in the centre of town 


Great value hotel in a perfect location

We stayed here while house hunting in the area.  A beautifully renovated antique house in the centre of Oliva, we had a large family room at the front of the property, very quiet even though just a few steps away from the centre.  It was kept spotlessly clean as is the whole property, Claudia  was extremely helpful in every thing we asked for.

The Pension doesn't do breakfast but there are heaps within a couple of minutes walk mostly Spanish but there is a place about a five minute walk that does full English.  Excellent value for money, three nights, two people only 55 euros per night.  An abundance of food outlets in the centre for every taste, I will definitely use again.

Tranquil, historic Pension

We had red room at the front which sleeps 3. It's pretty nice with air con, tv,  ensuite etc in a well decorstedctraditional town house just off the paseo. That's it though. No other services and manager doesnt speak English. No problem to us and you never see her or anyone else anyway. I liked it.

Quiet, simple, affordable with a pinch of charm

We arrived on Tuesday this week and were immediately told we had been under-charged !!! I was asked to pay an extra 45 Euros, as they were not expecting my daughter! I had checked the booking earlier in the week and in fact my daughter was not included so sent an email to include her but the person meeting us had no recollection of this extra info and informed us that this happens a lot with Booking.com!!! As my 15 year old daughter pointed out....maybe they shouldn't deal with Booking.com then!! The room was immaculate but a tiny 'box' and no light in the loo despite us reporting this on day 1 and the loo door was a sliding door that didnt meet either end....only use this room if you dont mind!!! Internet is also awful!!!! We left a day early! No real support for any of our queries - no English, despite the claim! We made the best of it.

Very clean and well situated but don't take children over 8 in August!

Clean, quiet, ideally located, and far better than basic.  We arrived late, having had flight delays and car hire confusion, but the concierge was waiting for us, and even though she spoke no English, and our Spanish is limited to ordering food and drink, we were quickly booked in and shown to our room, on the first floor.  We were immediately impressed, there was a good sized en-suite, a large built in wardrobe, comfortable bed, and double doors leading onto an internal balcony in the open patio or loggia in the middle of the house, and a very effective aircon unit over the bed, directing the cooled air onto the bed itself, great on a hot night.  The space was overlooked by another two Juliet balconies, but still felt private, open to the sky above.  We slept well, and were out and about by mid morning, returning to collect a couple of small items around lunch time.  The room had been made up in our absence, with fresh bedding, towels, cleaned, and the complimentary hot drinks replenished.  During the whole of our stay, we were not disturbed by, and only saw when leaving, the concierge.  One point to make is that the hot drink sachets were varied, but did not include traditional English style tea, but did include decaff coffee, and there was no milk.  However, a few seconds round the corner on the town passageo was a supermarket, there was a fridge in the wardrobe, (don't ask!) so for a couple of euros that problem was solved.  This is basic, room only type of accommodation, so the provision of hot drinks, and a fridge, was very welcome, and there were numerous cafes. bars, restaurants, pizza parlours, heladerias, and supermarkets with no more than a couple of minutes walk, with a variety of prices, so no complaints there.  This is a thoughtfully and sympathetically converted large town house, full of traditional character and charm, and ideally situated in the centre of town.  The only criticism I have is that the shower mixer is a simple lift/twist, lift for on, and twist to control the temperature, on a couple of occasions I almost scalded myself, ( the hot water is very hot!) by nudging the lever round.
There is no dedicated parking, but we never had any difficulty parking within a minutes walk of the pension, just be aware that parking changes from one side of the street to the other side twice a month, try not to get caught out, they will issue a fine.  Avoid any kerb or road marking painted in yellow, they are tough on towing, and be also aware that parking spaces marked in blue are pay parking, we never used them, so I don't know how that works.  I am disabled with a blue badge, and frequently found disabled spaces free.
