Aparamentos Bernat is a very basic hotel, facilities are minimal in the rooms and you are not provided with any towels or toilet roll. On the flip side, you are very close to the beach (less than a minute walk) which is absolutely stunning. The sun loungers are 5 Euros a day and are so comfy! There is also a good selection of restaurants and bars along the beach front. Basic Spanish would be useful to have as no one there speaks much English, which is nice as you feel like you're experiencing 'real' Spain rather than a tourist resort. One word of advice would be to check the pool key you are given as ours didn't seem to work and we were stuck in the pool area on numerous occasions and I know other guests experienced the same problem! 

All in all, a very basic hotel but, if you are staying for the festival, you won't be in the room much so it's not really a problem. If you want to get the shuttlebus to the festival it is  55 euros for all 4 days, there and back. You can buy tickets from Hotel Ancla which is about a 5-10 min walk from the hotel. The man at reception keeps a timetable for the bus in reception, timetable is 'horario' in Spanish (I don't think he understands timetable if you say it in English!) Also, you may need a bottle opener at some point (wine is so cheap there!) bottle opener is 'abrebotella' in Spanish, so this may come in handy :)

If you need a hotel and are going to the Benicassim festival...DO NOT STAY HERE. Its ages away from the festival, taxi's are so unreliable and the public transport is a joke.
Its nice if you are staying in Oropesa as the sea view is fab. As it is self catering, be prepared to spend part of your holiday cleaning. I got told it had air conditioning too and it doesn't. You can't pay extra for it either. I also wouldn't recommend the restaurants on the front.

Not suitable for Benicassim Festival

Please do not stay or book with Apartamentos 3000!!!! It’s a complete scam!!! Me and some friends stayed here for Benicassim Festival and they have refused to give us our €250 deposit back. We left some bin bags in the kitchen and the agreement says they can take a penalty of €75 for this. I’ve emailed for almost 2 months trying to get the remaining money back and they are refusing to give us anything. Absolute disgusting customer service and a huge money making scam for young people going to the Festival. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Apartamentos 3000 are scammers.

Do not book in with them. They'll make you pay a 250eur deposit and tell you the money will be back in your account 2 hours after you've checked out, but they don't intend on giving it back.

No damage was caused to the apartment. And after mopping the floors and tidying the apartment on our last night, we've now been told we will not receive our deposit back as we left our bagged up rubbish in the corner of the kitchen and empty bottles on the kitchen side.

The terms & conditions aren't available in English but once translated it does state they can hold a 75eur penalty for additional cleaning... OK, but where's the rest of our deposit?.. They now refuse to respond.

Oropesa Del Mar is a really nice place. You could better spend this 250eur on booking into one of the nearby hotels and enjoy your holiday without being scammed.

THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THIS ARE CON ARTISTS PRAYING ON YOUNG TOURISTS.
 
On departure I was told we would receive our full deposit back, I left the country happy until I got home to find out that the deposit had been taken and there was no way for me to get it back. 
failure to tell me and failure to respond back to emails accordingly. 
Finally after emailing for weeks and calling I have been told the apartment was left as it was given to us. 
Frankly it was returned cleaner than it was when I was given the keys. 

DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR NOW LOOKING AT CITIZENS ADVICE DUE TO HOLIDAY BEING RUINED BY RUDE COMPANY.
