Good basic hotel for ferry port. Very clean & Dog friendly & friendly staff although communication was a problem as our Spanish isn't good & their English wasn't good.Especially as we couldn't find the hotel late at night & when we phoned they couldn't help us.

Overnight stay from ferry

We booked this hotel with booking.com and then received an email requiring us to declare that at no time would our dogs be left alone in the hotel room. Also the dogs were forbidden from the public/cafeteria area. It begs the question how we were supposed to eat at the hotel other than to shuthe the dogs in the car. We cancelled our booking.

NOT Pet Friendly

The hotel is clean and basic, the receptionist spoke no English and we speak no Spanish, but we muddled through, and the explanation how to use the electric front door key was available in English.

The bed was comfortable, and on discovering the taps in the bath/shower didn't work the manager quickly supplied us with the key to another room so we could use the bathroom there. 

It appeared there were hardly any other guests, which was probably just as well as you can hear every movement from other rooms.

I wouldn't want to stay more than a couple of nights, but it was only €40 a night, so you get what you pay for and at that price it was okay.

Surprisingly quiet for July?

Friendly and warm service staff. The room was ok and the WiFi was fast and free. Quite place and modest decoration. Cheap and convenient. The surroundings are safe and is very close to the Monasterio de La Rabida and El museo de las Carabelas.

Yes,  we have been in much nicer B&B for comparable prices. The design is mediocre at best,  bathroom and the whole place itself need renovation,  but: WiFi was working and fast,  reception very friendly,  shower HOT and pouring like it should,  terrace has nice view and the room was very quiet with good fresh air from the sea. I think at Euro 40 it is a good choice for one or two nights for visiting the area.  Make sure you get a room to the ocean,  not facing the street,  for there is quite some traffic.
