Together with my business partner, I had a brainstorm session for our company. Cantueso Cottages is the perfect place to do so. The house are very nice with an outside terras with a spectacular view. After every session we took a dive in the swimming pool or had lunch at the restaurant. ( the food is amazing). Thanx Cantueso for creating this paradise and helping us with setting the new goals for our company.

Lovley, just a lovley place. We stayed for a week and diner every dat. Teasty food.Very nice view and very friendly staff. We enjoyed being at Catueso and we will come again here. Thank you for hosåitality.

Great healthy food

These cottages (10 in total and an appartment above the restaurant) are highly recommended:
Beautiful location (1,5 km from Periana) and views. The cottage has all what is needed. we stayed in a three-room cottage with 2 adults and 2 children. The cottages are all white with high wooden ceilings and shutters. AC is available but not always needed when you keep the shutters closed when away. We stayed here in high season ( end of july/ august). All cottages have their own terrace with dining table and chairs, two outdoor relax-chairs and table and an outdoor BBQ-place! Our cottage had beautiful flowers all around.  The bathroom was spacious, good shower and bathtub. Kitchen was provided with all you need to cook your own meal with a big fridge. The place was clean and has a very good atmosphere. 
Swimmingpool was spacious with good and enough sunbeds. Suntowels can be rented. 
Very childfriendly with lots of toys available at a separate playroom. 
Dvd's are available at the reception for free.

Playground with huge trampoline and swings for the kids. You can also play mini-golf.

Washing machine is available: works with inserted euro's.

But best of it all; the staff is very helpful and friendly and the Cantueso restaurant serves delicious food with stunning views.

If you have a car; you can explore this beautiful part of Andalusia.

Rural cottages, stunning view, silence, nature, romantic place

We really enjoyed our stay at Cantueso! A beautiful environment with 360• endless views! Piece and quiet, nice and neat cottages and a refreshing pool. Nicky was extremely friendly and helpfull, and also the restaurant personnel was very kind and offered great service. We highly recommend this lovely place! 

A beautiful place in the middle of nowhere

We stayed here for 6 nights and had a lovely time. The cottages are lovely and clean and there is a lot for the children to play with. The pool is nice and there are a lot of things the children can play with. 
The staf is friendly and helpfull. 

Lovely stay with nice people

We stayed at Cantueso for the 2nd time this June. Lovely little cottages which have all you need for baby/toddlers. Our son had a brilliant time in the pool and play area and we relaxed and enjoyed the gorgeous view. Can highly recommend to young families. 

Relaxed holiday with our toddler

We spent a wonderful week here with our two year-old daughter. Everything was as described and the view is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. What really makes this place special though is the thoughtfulness of the staff and in particular owner Nicky. We asked for an 'emergency pack' of groceries, plus a takeaway dinner from the restaurant for when we arrived. It was all ready and waiting for us, along with a high chair, play mat, baby gates etc. This was our first trip abroad with a toddler and Nicky made it breeze.

Cantueso is also very well placed for exploring the region. We visited Granada, Córdoba and Nerja, but don't miss an exciting drive up to the hilltop village of Comares. Spectacular!

Perfect for little ones

Beautiful views from this small group of cottages with attached restaurant. Lovely clean and uncrowded pool with loungers.  Nicky was very helpful and gave us ideas for days out.  You will need a hire car to make the most of this lovely area.  Extremely tranquil and restful holiday. 

Fabulous views

We stayed at the Cottages. The 'resort' has the most beautiful settings imaginable, with stunning views of the Andalusian mountains. Nature really pulls out all the stops. The cottages are lovely and all with barbeque equipment to use, which we did most nights. Very child friendly with play areas and swimming pool on tap. Nicky, the owner, is very warm and friendly and always happy to help. The restaurant is lovely and once again, stunning views with friendly and helpful staff. Periana itself is a quaint, pretty little town with a super market, chemist and various bars. Wednesday is market day. It's no Petticoat Lane but good for fruit and local produce. Can't recommend the place highly enough. One word of caution though. If you drive (and you pretty much have to really),  make sure you're comfortable with driving up and down mountains! It can be very stressful, especially for Brits who are not used to left hand driving. Some of the barriers (where they exist) are flimsy at best and some local drivers are very unforgiving of tourists taking it easy.

Stunning Setting

If you don't mind a bit of driving, nor being surrounded by families with young children (<6) and not looking for a stylish cottage, but do like:
- Beautiful views
- Excellent host
- Safe environment for your kids
- Lovely food for reasonable prices
- A cottage where at night it cools down perfectly
- Lot's of nice things to do in the area (within 30 - 50 min driving)
- Relaxed environment without noisy nightlife after 11 pm
This is the place. Especially the views are absolutely stunning!
