FIrst you have to make a reservation as they are always full, we were invited by local colleagues that were staying in the Hotel upstairs, parking is not easy, but we managed, the food was such an interesting gastronomical experience, the fresa con txangurros or the mushroom or the chocolate ....difficult to translate the dishes but they were so unique and good....if you are in Plentzia, try this place is well worth.

excellent restaurant and very original dishes, super recommended

Outstanding food and drink served by friendly staff in quiet location at end of Bilbao metro line. One evening there was a large corporate event (with microphone/speaker) until midnight, which was too noisy for sleep; this was the only downside of the whole stay. On another evening, locals watching Athletico Bilbao on TV in the bar made less noise !  Good local kids' playground 2 mins walk away; quiet beach ca. 15 mins and there's a bus service too. Not too many other choices for evening food in the village but Bilbao is close by excellent metro. Don't expect English language.

Great Location

Great position in Plentzia, by the river and an easy walk to the large sandy beach. The best part is that the Bilbao metro is 2 mins walk and gives direct access to the city so you can leave the car. Not really a hotel as no reception and because we stayed Sunday night and Monday night we had no restaurant or bar service and no breakfast. You need to check what is available when booking. Room and bathroom were ok.  No aircon and this could be a problem in summer as rooms are either over the outside restaurant or over the main street. Free WiFi

Good location but service not that good

This is more a boarding house with a restaurant than a hotel. The staff were helpful and carried out cases to the second floor as there is no lift. 
It was hot when we were there and the room had no air con nor a fan and opening the window to cool it a bit allowed the extreme noise from the street to enter. 
The rooms were noisy and one could hear the neighbours. 
Unfortunately having stayed in all the other hotels in Plentzia  this is the best. 

Weeks visit in July. 

Agree with other comments- very friendly and room small but clean and welcoming. Major downside was the lack of aircon- temperatures reached 40 degrees and aircon desperately needed. Noise was a niggle -window opened onto the street which although generally quiet could be noisy and creaking floorboards on stairs were noisy. Going out of the summer season this hotel would be lovely especially as its very accessible from metro and views of coast and river are fabulous.
