Excelent stay. The owner was very helpful telling us what to visit around Puentenansa. The hotel has been renovated and it still maintains its original design but way cleaner and with hotel like appliances. Breakfast is good for a Posada, if you want to eat some more, you can ask for it. I truly recommend this hidden gem of a Posada, it is very nice to stay at a traditional hotel.

Excelent stay for a Posada

We stayed for a week and found the owner of the establishment very gracious. It is spotlessly clean - cosy bedrooms with perfectly adequate modern bathroom facilities lend the hotel a boutique feel. We stayed with friends who had access to a vehicle which is essential if you want to see any of the area. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay.

Clean, cosy and friendly - lovely!

We arrived with no booking and the welcome was warm. The room was good and quite cheap. The owner was especially helpful when we set off in the morning, filling water bottles for our bikes, without us asking. Really thoughtful. The 'town' itself is very small and with little going on, we found it difficult to find somewhere to eat, so got bread and cheese. Good for a stop-off and the surrounding area is really quite attractive.

Restful place

We booked from uk had very prompt response, we're made extremely welcome and our two loaded motorbikes were put in the secure garage. The room was extremely clean and quiet. We had a basic toast breakfast and very good coffee. Fidel printed maps for us and we communicated using hand signals and Google translate. We were given bottled water for our trip and a glass of sherry as we left. It was excellent value and we would thoroughly recommend it to quiet bikers and travellers.

I picked this posada (inn) solely on the basis of proximity to Santander and the area I wanted to explore.  It turned out to be an excellent choice.  The inn is well-kept, clean and the staff quite welcoming.  The proprietor was helpful with information and when he learned that we were painters, offered to introduce us to a local artist who had done several of the works on the walls. 
Breakfasts were basic but filling, the hot water was immediate and plentiful and the overall experience was close to excellent.  We stayed during hot weather, so can't comment on heating, but this led to our only negative finding.  There were no screens on the windows to our balcony, which caused some concern and the maintenance of closed windows.  Eventually we opened them for ventilation, and actually had no winged visitors.  
The drive to Santander, which we did several ways was mountainous and beautiful, winding through very scenic valleys, villages  and farmland.  The river Nansa winds through town and provided some good photos even though water was low.  We plan to return during the autumn foliage season.

An Inn to remember and revisit.

M my husband and I stayed at this hotel for just one night. The hotel was quaint, and old, but very clean. The room was small, but we did not need much. The owner did not speak any English, but was helpful using Google translate. It said in reservations that breakfast was included. Breakfast consisted of juice, coffee and toast. Nothing else. So don't go down hungry. Other than breakfast, The hotel was clean and worth the price. I would recommend it for travelers that just need a quick night's sleep. 

Quaint, but no frills

Spent one day there. Checked in around 3 pm and the hotel was only attended by one lady who is the friend of the owners. She did not speak a word of English and did not know anything. We got password to wifi at 2100 when owner finally showed up.
Breakfast was the most simple one we had. Only juice, coffee and bread, nothing else.

Not a nice experience. Not to recommend.
