Super space rooms with astonishing view. The way the family and staff run the hotel makes you feel at home immedeately. The rooms are spotless and offer lots of space and facilities. And ... breakfast is an absolute surprise. You will love it!

A truly great place to stay

We chose to reserve one of the best rooms. It was fine, but adequate rather than great. We had hoped for a bit better given the fairly high price for a country aparthotel.
The manager was very helpful and we did enjoy using the motorised bikes that could be rented there to explore the various trails along the lagoons and in the countryside.
Food in Ruidera seemed to be a problem. But we were referred to an associated hotel, some 8 Km. away where we ate well for the two nights we stayed here.

Spacious, clean, great views.

The location is strange, except the view is ok but not as the photos imply, the hotel sits on a hill above an ugly suburb, and the hotel does not even have a lounge nor an outside space to relax.  The bedroom was fine and clean and spacious but the advertised balcony is so small you can just fit on the chair!

Not what it seems

Doña Ruidera is an aparthotel situated in a  quiet, residential position on top of a steep hill.  The reception is not manned 24hrs, so you may need to pre-advise arrival time, or no-one will be there to greet you!  Check-in was friendly, room was spacious and very clean - we booked a room with a view - worth the extra money.  Beds were comfortable, although I find all Spanish pillows very hard and solid, so I take my own feather one!  No one speaks much English - in fact this whole resort is unsurprisingly very Spanish.  Breakfast is delivered to your room, and is a simple Spanish affair of tostada con tomate (toast with fresh grated tomatoes, served with olive oil and salt - healthy and delicious!) and two cakes/pastries, orange juice, and good coffee.  There is air-conditioning, but it is the type where the condenser, etc, is in the room rather than on the exterior wall, and so is rather noisy!  The short walk back to the hotel from the villages centre (several restaurants ) could be a problem for those less fit, as the climb is a bit steep!  Overall, it was everything we needed from a hotel for a short break.  Recommended.

Clean, friendly, simple hotel for short visits to the area

The Lagunas de Ruidera is a lovely area and the best time is after the Winter Rains, six of us stayed there for two nights in May and thoroughly enjoyed it, my husband and I have stayed in the area many times but for our friends it was the first time.  

We stayed in a two bedroomed apartment with lovely views of the Lagoon. large and well equipped with lovely terrace, breakfast was extra and was served in the apartment.

The Hotel Rooms which our friends booked are also spacious and well equipped, these rooms include Breakfast. 

Overall this Hotel was lovely and we hope to return again. There is a downhill walk to the Village and coming back up was a bit of a hike.
