Stayed here over 4 nights and were welcomed by the owner Juan. A very knowledgable person and a superb host. The hostal is very clean, in fact SPOTLESS. Serves a lovely Spanish breakfast and the bar was just perfect for a few late night drinks. The "Luganas De Ruidera" are only a short walk away however the lakes do go further a field.

Great Hostal and a superb Host

A fabulous hostel in the beautiful area of ruidera in castilla la mancha. Old fashioned with lots of charm and character.
Immaculately clean. 
Juan and his partner who run the hostel are the perfect hosts and so very helpful and have great knowledge of the area and are both very informative.

Fabulous place to stay

We stayed here for two nights. The owner gave us a very warm welcome and lots of information about the local area aided by an aerial photograph in reception. We had one of the large rooms at the front which had a balcony, which was a nice touch. Whilst the basic accommodation is reflective of grade of hotel I have to say that this was one of the cleanest places I have stayed. The owner and staff clearly work hard to ensure everything is clean and tidy. Would definitely stay again. 

Fantastic 

Decided to go inland for a few days and saw this area, lagunas de Ruidera.
This hotel is well located, has parking and easy walk to restaurants and laguna.
Juan the owner / manager is very informative and helpfull.
He couldnt do enough to make your stay enjoyable.

Perfecto

A really beautiful hostal, huge room with terrace, lovely bathroom.  All beautifully tiled and decorated and a perfect host in Juan.  He gave us a hand drawn map and could not have been more helpful.  The area is stunning, with loads of land and water based activities.  Ruidera Activa is adjacent to the hotel, and offers an excellent, English fluent guide also called Juan, who took us on a 3.5 hour tour of the region and was amusing and informative.  

We hope to return with our family in April.

A real find, will be back

We were greeted by the owner who knew our name and proceeded to tell us all about the area. He had hand drawn maps as well as the printed version. He told us all the sights as was more helpful than many tourist information offices. Rooms were spacious with everything we needed. Very easy to find and lovely area. 

Lovely welcome and great stay

We travelled there in June, certainly not high season in Ruidera. The hotel is very simple, yet clean and cozy. The room was big, had a big comfortable bed (which apparently is unusual in Spain, especially in this price range), had a small balcony.The owner was super, friendly, he spent some 30 minutes telling us about the town, lakes and the area in general. Proposed some routes we could take. Will not consider any other place if I am ever around this area.

Good place!

We drove by, checked the price :43 Euro, checked the room: old fashion , very very clean, looking like new with 1950/1960 fittings. The reception was Lovely with lots of tiling. Quiet hotel. We could park in the ground at the front and were told our car was safe, and it was. 
The bed was very comfortable, we had a wonderful night. Plenty of hot water. 
Good value for money.
Breakfast was just tea or coffee, bread, butter and Jam. Small coffee shop nearby offer bigger breakfast.
Wish we had stay longer as the area is very special.

Clean budget hotel

We stopped off to see the lakes in Ruidera on our way North. We were greeted in the car park, quickly checked in and, bags taken to our superior room which was huge. Not a lot of furniture but a very large room with seating area and TV , a separate sleeping area and, small terrace with furniture. All spotlessly clean. Really great value for money 65 euros including breakfast which was toasted baguette and coffee. The owner kindly gave us a map to ensure that we could see the beautiful lakes. The restaurant was closed but, he also ensured that we had directions to the local restaurants a short walk from the hotel. Overall nothing could be faulted and were very pleased to have chosen this hotel.
