This is a small hotel in a lovely old building. Inside there are antiques and art works which engaged our interest for the whole week! Marie Jose the host was very engaging and helpful and we were very well looked after. My room was small but perfectly equipped and with a view of the mountains. There is a cosy sitting area and bar with a log burner. Overall this was a wonderful base for winter walking and snowshoeing in the Pyrenees.

A beautiful hotel inside and out.

We stayed here while hiking in the Pyrenees. Hotelier Maria was so helpful in arranging dinners, providing a delicious breakfast and explaining the ins and outs of the hikes we would be doing. She even drove us to a trailhead one morning to give us a head start, and provided delicious sack lunches. The hotel is absolutely charming and feels like home, with so many personal touchs! We thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the elegant but comfortable living room, and well as in our own cozy beautiful bedroom.    

We absolutely loved staying at Hotel Almud

Stayed here for 2 nights while on HikePyrenees. The hotel is beautifully appointed - if a little too dark to really see how lovely the sitting rooms are. The beds are comfortable, though the wallpaper was once lovely it could use some repair. Breakfast is on the ground floor in what was the original stable (the hotel was built on top)- it is a beautiful room.

Charming B&B in wonderful village

An historic building, old renovated stable.  So warm and inviting.  Our room was up a stone spiral staircase.  The view from the bedroom window was a panorama of the Pyrenees and a beautiful vegetable garden, town.  Cozy room with wonderful period design.  Bathroom had a nice soaking tub (perhaps a splash of bleach on the grout would be a good idea.  A bit of mildew showing, but since I have a bath at my home where that is a constant battle, it didn't bother me.  The rest of the room was spotless.  Cable tv and wifi.  Maria, the owner, is a perfect host.  You are a guest in her home. not a hotel.  She tends bar, but more like she is offering a cocktail in her home.  Breakfast is lovely.  We were on a hiking holiday and she provided us a picnic lunch both days.  I don't think there is a more lovely location in this area.

Charming location.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Almut as part of our Hike Pyreneees tour of the area.  Maria Rosa is lovely and she runs a wonderful hotel with beautiful antiques in all the rooms.  Originally the building was a stable and has been adapted with comfortable guest rooms with en suite baths.  This is not an American hotel, but one of the most charming examples of European guest houses we visited.

Beautiful hotel with a gracious hostess

The village is in a fabulous location & Maria is quite helpful. However, despite upgrading to a better room we found the room dark & the paint on the walls chipped. Also, the grouting around the bath was stained & the bath very small. The narrow twisting staircase leading to the room would have made it impossible to take all our luggage to our room. We found the common areas dark & oppresive particularly the dining room. Considering at dinner at a small bistro in town we had eaten the most wonderful local artisan food we found it hard to be presented with processed cheese & turkey for breakfast.
