Lovely stay! Only negative is that it’s right next to the train line - can be a bit loud between 5am and 11pm but I quickly got used to it. The train station is a 2 minute walk away, brilliant convenience for exploring the city! Thank you so much for a lovey stay

If you want to sleep, do not stay here! The train line runs beside the hostel (although it feels like it is running through the hostel, everything shakes). All of the doors squeak and the floors creak. 30 minute train ride to Barcelona city centre.

There was a town festival. You can walk down to a little pedestrian street for coffee and/or tapas and hang with the locals. A blast.

It's a hostel with a tiny room. A bed, table, TV and a fan. Oh boy it was hot but it was nicely located and I had fun at the irish bar next door. I'll def stay here again :)

With price in mind, it is an okay hotel. Relatively good communication with city and staff is friendly, but they speak only spanish.

I enjoyed my stay here, but there were a few difficulties. The hotel is located right next to the train tracks, which is very convenient but also very loud, so bring ear plugs. The bathrooms are shared by the floor, but they were always very clean and I never had to wait very long to use them. Checking in was a little difficult, we were not sure which buzzer to use to alert the hotel we had arrived, and had to ring multiple times before we were let in. The proprietors of the hotel were very nice and helpful, but knowing a bit of Spanish will go a long way. Overall, my partner and I enjoyed staying in Fonda Charvarria. The area of Sant Joan Despi was beautiful and we enjoyed the escape from conventional Barcelona tourism.

Basic accommodation, clean.Inconvenient sharing shower and toilet facilties, but value for money.

The location of the hotel is perfect.  30 minutes by train from Barcelona Sants station.  Maybe for one night is tolerable.  However, I was there for 5 nights.  There are 9 rooms on the floor with 2 common bathrooms.  The walls are thin and you can hear absolutely everything in the room.  The hotel is close to the train tracks.  Now I know what time the train starts.  It's a pity that I have to write such bad reviews, because the hostess is very responsive.  They lent me an umbrella in the morning when it was raining.  And she was responsive in every other way.

I made an error in booking the hotel and immediately contacted the hotel to correct it. They don't  answer the phone. Then I emailed telling them I would have to cancel as I needed a room that night. Guess what? They don't respond to emails. I know now that they have charged me the full amount. I would avoid this hotel because there actions when there is a problem told me all I need to know about their attitude.
