We only stayed here for one night but loved the campsite and the area. There weren’t many people sadly due to the current situation but the bar was open as was the pool which was lovely and clean.  The facilities were immaculate and there were lots of them. The setting was very peaceful and we’d love to return.

We stay regularly and agree with other people’s comments. One man on reception is grumpy another not. The village had shops and a restaurant, the site restaurant is not always open. Useful for a drive through stop over. No real complaints.

Regular stop

We picked this site from our ACSI book as an ideal relaxing 2 night break between sightseeing in Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid, and sightseeing in the cities of Andalucia. We weren't diasppointed. As a previous reviewer said, the man on reception was initially a  bit stand-offish but he soon mellowed, especially when we spoke some Spanish to him. I think sometimes if the receptionists don't speak your language they can be a bit reserved as they are unsure as to how communications will go. 
Anyway, our plot was quite large and flat, all have electricity, a water tap and drainage point (and apparently a tv point, but we have our own aerial so didn't try it). As we were out of season the pool and restaurant were closed but we could buy bread in the morning. Wifi is free and covers the whole site (at least, we were told so and it certainly covered our pitch near the shower bolck). The amenities are a bit dated but functional and the one shower cubicle I used gave a powerful and hot jet of water. It's a proper mixer tap too, not a push-button. I did notice that some of the cubicles didn't have a shower head on the end of the pipe so I don't know what they would be like. The site is quiet although the main road is close by, and the little village of Santa Elena is worth an hour or two's wander. The little path that goes off to the side of the site leads to wooded areas that are a pleasat walk, but we found all the marked paths were barricaded after a  short distance as the land beyond is private.
Definitely worth a little break if like us you're dashing from one place to another.

Great relaxing stopover between the cities of Andalucia and Madrid

Well I must say the site is not as bad as I was fearing. The views were gorgeous and the reception man very pleasant.

The shower and toilets were clean and plenty of hot water. No toilet seats though.

There is a wonderful restaurant on the road opposite the road to the campsite with beautiful views from the terrace.

The only minus is that the Quimco is a  health and safety hazard. It is in desperate need of a clean and we didn't go near it!!

So, in all, a nice surprise.

Beautiful area

We stayed overnight at this site in August 2017.

The first thing to note is that if your caravan is over 6 meters long, entry to and exit from the site is going to be very difficult. my caravan is just under 8 meters long and the entrance is an a stone arch which needs to be negotiated with care.
The gentleman on reception did not come across as very friendly, but that said, he was efficient.
The site itself was clean , the toilets and showers were spotless. and when we went to the pool, found it to be clean and warm.
The bar/restaurant was good, we had a good meal, served by a nice man who appeared to be the waiter/cook/cleaner et al. Prices were reasonable as well.
In conclusion, I would recommend this site for an overnight stop, but be very careful going in and out.

Nice village hotel restaurant nice food and good service.
Toilets need upgrade and very cold when having a shower.
Cannot plumb in water.
Tonight last night spoiled by resident campers and very loud music not sure of this is a regular basis?
Site says that no loud music and this is very loud family with children can be heard around the site.

Probably the worst site we’ve ever been to in Spain In need of major investment
 Hard standing pitches are at best compacted soil and pine needles 
Nightmare when wet
Low level push button to access water on pitch, not possible to connect directly 
Ablution block very very out dated and in poor repair No hot water unpredictable in ladies showers during our stay  ( an abundance in the gents ) Chemical loo a health risk!  Filthy !

Such a pity,,, Santa Elena is a beautiful area and site is in a great location

Avoid,,,1 night stop but only if you’re desperate

it was a useful stop, but expensive, I thought.  The restaurant wasn't open, the guy on reception was pretty unwelcoming, and gave me no information. The shower had no head on it, so just water coming out of a pipe, and no hot water.
