Do not ever stay here it is probably the worst hotel in Europe 
Staff .. Rude , obnoxious , unhelpful 
Food , Disguting 
Entertainment ??? 
If you want to be the biggest let  down to your wife and family then  book this hotel please pay attention to this review you will 100 percent regret it

Never stay in this hotel

This hotel is absolutely awful.cannot believe it is Rated a four star. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful, the rooms were very basic painted a vivid orange and yellow balcony had two cheap plastic chairs no table. The wardrobe was small and outdated there was nowhere to store toiletry items shoes cases or clothes. Air conditioning couldn't be adjusted and as there was only a thin sheet and cover we were frozen. The food was the worst I have ever experienced. The plates were cold Veg was frozen in the middle meat was wrongly labelled, salad consisted of beetroot lettuce tomatoes and a sort of coleslaw. The chips were cold and when chef had a fresh tray they were dumped on top of the cold ones. Fruit was tinned in syrup any fresh fruit was unripe. The cakes for desert were stale and the bowl of yoghurt had all sorts of debris in it. We were both really unwell the first night One of the lifts had been out of order for some time. Pool area dirty ashtrays not emptied chewing gum on tables and under chairs. Sunbeds were broken at backs and tables piled up with dirty glasses.The final straw was when a mouse scrambled out of my bag when I was by the pool. Reception staff were neither surprised or interested when we reported it. We then realised why cats were allowed to roam freely around swimming pool area . We ate out and only went back to hotel at night until we could move to another hotel

A frightful experience

Went to the hotel for a 4 night get away with the wife. The hotel itself was terrible starting off at the rooms my bed was like sleeping on a brick and the long slim pillow was the same so I really struggled to get sleep to top it off the entertainment was right underneath me and my balcony was facing the outside seating area where all the drunk and over loud idiots decided to sit up till 2 every morning. The food was terrible and slim choice if I brought the kids the would only be eating chips. The hotel staff were rude when you needed anything an it was like they only catered for spanish people and the rest of the Europeans got treated second class. If it wasn't for the location the holiday would have been a disaster. I recomend santa susana but not the hotel unless you are spanish. I only gave a 2 star review for the location if it wasnt for that it would be a 1 star.

The food was just awful cold every day and the entertainment was very loud,alright for the young one's and there were plenty of them who were loud too.If you want a relaxing holiday avoid the Mercury.

Worst Holiday we have ever had

Where do I begin? I write honest and constructive reviews.

This is definitely not a 4* hotel, at most a 2*.
Our room was really lovely, however a few things disappeared during our stay. I will leave it at that! 
The food- the food didn't go together and was extremely bland, for example, they would cook plain pasta one night and then cook the mince the second night, it made no sense at all, what I would suggest, is to have themed food nights at this hotel as it would give some consistency to the food and make the guests plan ahead.

What let this hotel down for me was the kids entertainment. 
The lack of it. At mini disco my child was told to sit down, very unsure why. The kids were left to entertain themselves as there was nothing planned for them. The kids room was also closed. 
My sister was extremely upset with the hotel as it didn't serve beans at breakfast so we ate out. 
There is an amazing train outside the hotel which goes straight to Barcelona which was so much fun. Its about 20 stops in total and took an hour. 
I would definitely return to Santa Susanna but not to this hotel. I have many suggestions for this hotel if they would like to contact me. 



Girls trip!! 

I came here with my family last week and was very disappointed! The food was our biggest problem, my two younger brothers struggled all week and only had chips all week!! The food is defiantly not children friendly and don’t cater for children, a lot of the food on display was fish so if you aren’t a fussy eater and up for trying new things then you’ll be fine, but for me and my brothers who are 6 and 15 we ended up eating else where to get a proper meal! The entertainment is shocking, especially the DJ that just stood behind the set not engaging with the audience and careless that everyone eventually left the room because the atmosphere was dead. 

The only staff members that were friendly were the cleaners and the restaurant staff clearing away your plates, the bar staff and there was some receptionists that are so rude! I was waiting to be served on the non all inclusive side because there was two separate sections I was told, and the bar staff ignored me knowing I was stood there and kept serving all inclusive, was really shocked and annoyed. 
We were there for a whole week and there was a lift that had been broken all that week when we was there so there was massive delay on waiting for lifts.

All in all I’d come back to the area as it was defiantly wheelchair friendly for my brother and there are accesses to get to the beach, you just have to walk about 5minutes from this hotel across the road under the subway to get to the beach, all very flat and a great strip to walk along, will be finding a hotel more worth it’s star rating!

Won’t come back to this hotel

Just back from an 8 day holiday here (2 families 8 of us in total) and have to say it was a very pleasant stay. 
Can’t for the life of me understand the bad reviews. Some people are very sensitive and a bit dramatic. 
“”Hotel/Rooms”” - clean and comfortable. It’s pot luck really as we had 2 rooms (1 family had a fridge but room was small) (other family has a huge room but no fridge) tip for the air con - make sure sliding doors are closed and locked and the air con will work. 
“”Food”” - you cant please everyone but you definitely won’t go hungry. Fish pork stake beef chicken salads veg/battered veg. Fresh rolls, chips pasta etc etc 
“”Pool”” please don’t waste your money and buy inflatables as you will NOT be allowed them in the pool. This didn’t bother us but I could see it bothered others. There is a reason for this and it’s called “safety first” We had great crack listening to the lifeguard (Paola I think was her name) blowing her whistle several times a minute 😂 and shake her finger at you when your bold. 
I sat in her chair one day (by accident of course) and she nearly blew me back to Barcelona airport. 
“”Entertainment team”” absolutely amazing. Even if I had a little bit of there enthusiasm and energy I would probably live forever. 
“”Bar staff” what can I say....... slow, very cross looking, strict with their rules ( a lot of people couldn’t get the grips of the drink cards. On checking in they give you a drinks card. You bring it to the bar ask for your drinks they take your card and when your finished your drink you bring your empty glass back up. You get another drink or your card back for later... simple. It saves the place having empty glasses and cups all around the pool or bar and stops wasps ants etc gathering around the place too. Made total sense to us. 
Ps - if you smile at the bar staff and try make conversation they actually might frighten you and smile back.
Market day is Tuesday - you walk out the door and the whole street is closed off and the markets goes on for miles - brilliant 
Beach was a let down - the sand has bruised my feet for life it’s more like quarry stone. - mind ya we did have a dip in the sea a few mornings until a elderly Spanish man ran out of the water when he seen these long grey fish swimming with us. Seeing as he looked afraid we kinda felt let’s get outta here. 
All in all t’was a lovely stay. Please don’t let the bad reviews turn you off.

5 days in June, 2 people

Overall we had a fantastic time here and didn't want to go home. The entertainment staff were so friendly and really good at their work - fun poolside activities for all throughout the day, and the evening entertainment was varied and enjoyable. The food was better than expected as some reviews were quite negative about it, but we always had a full plate and ate it all (+ seconds!); would definiely recommend going all-inclusive. The bedroom/bathroom was comfortable and included a fridge - although aircon didn't seem to work, but leaving the door ajar was suffice. The pool was a good size and cleaned every morning, and there were plenty of sunbeds so we didn't feel the need to rush in the morning to get a place. The hotel overall was kept very clean and tidy.

The reasons we wouldn't give it a 5-star are mainly to do with the staff. Upon arrival (11pm), the receptionist was very miserable, rude and angry which, at first, made us dread the rest of the holiday. We were also charged a €10 "tourist tax" by this man which seemed dodgy as nowhere had mentioned this while booking, but we were too tired to argue. Daytime receptionists were much more friendly, the only issue we encoutered being that they spoke little English. Bar staff were also quite rude at times but served quickly etc. 

Considering how little we paid, these problems were not too much of an issue.

Excellent holiday for the price apart from a few problems

We had a conference and the service was amazing special thanks to Gabriel, he made the difference. Great asset to the company!

Fantastic job

its not a good hotel. definitely not a 4 star ( with comparison to Travelodge this is a 2 star hotel)
- entertainment- just a dj playing music and 3 people dancing on the dance floor
-breakfast: sausage, cheese, pastries egg etc.. ohh and canned fruit.
-i found the rooms dark (even with lights on
- tried to pay by card twice: they said they dont take card*cash only* - really? for a 4 star hotel?
- when i checked in, the receptionist said she will be keeping my Passport overnight? dont know why? i hope they are aware of GDPR stuff.
- not far from the beach.
