My husband and I travelled to Girona from Barcelona on the train. We are big Game of Throne fans so we were excited to see some of the filming locations. It just happened to be Temps de Flor, an annual celebration in Old Girona where ornate floral displays are installed in various areas of town. One of the most beautiful and interesting things I’ve ever seen. The Nord hotel is the perfect place to stay ! The pool area is lovely and private. Marta and the staff at the Nord were very helpful with travel info. Our room overlooked the pool and was very current and comfortable. 

Nice place for a stay in Girona

We only stopped one night, I wish I'd booked for longer. Lovely greeting as we arrived and were shown to our fabulous room, the largest bed I've ever seen! And wonderfully comfortable, very high ceilings with huge windows overlooking the charming courtyard with small swimming pool. A lovely breeze just blowing through (there was air con too) the room was spacious and very stylish. We were given great advice on where to walk to see the town. Sat by the pool later with olives and a drink. Hope to return some day for a longer stay. Girona is lovely.
Parking was expensive at the adjacent car park, but cheaper (still €21 for 24 hours) if you pay through the hotel.

Beautiful hotel, lovely service

The staff were kind and helpful and the room was more than adequate. The location is spectacular, close to just about everything a visitor needs - mere minutes from most of the sites of Girona.
The parking garage is small so beware if you have a large car!

A perfect location

The staff of this Hotel are fabulous! Everyone speaks English and they are so helpful about where to go, making reservations and arrangements for everything. The hotel rooms come with a full kitchen, tableware etc. We had a dinner for 14 and it went flawlessly. But even if you are only visiting for a day or two you will not be disappointed. The location is another major plus. It is on a quiet street right off the central plaza. Bridges to the old city are a stone's throw away, access to the train station a 7 minute walk, a full grocery store around the corner, a wonderful bakery around another corner, and shops for clothing , souvenirs etc. are everywhere. Restaurants are all within walking distance. A private hotel bar is always available and breakfast is served every morning. The hotel is very clean, and  well appointed without being ostentatious. You can not go wrong by staying at the Hotel Nord.

A wonderful week in Girona

We were so pleasantly surprised by this gem: super clean, great breakfast (even includes gluten-free goods), friendly and helpful staff.It is outside the old city, but less than 10 minutes by car(or about 25 minute stroll, mostly along nice riverside walk) to the big free parking lots. Nice and quiet, comfortable beds and wonderful bathrooms.
