This stunning lodge should be renamed The Lodge Idyll Ronda. It is extremely well run with a personal touch. There  is room for large groups to be together or to have individual personal space. We arranged in advanced for massages and a yoga class which were excellent. Our group of 12 had dinners and breakfasts catered by the hotel staff associated with The Lodge  (hotellafuente.com). All meals were outstanding. The staff created beautiful table decor with the flowers from the lush gardens. 
The rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable and look even better than photos on the website. There is a wonderful art collection that adds to the ambiance.  If we had the slightest request or tiniest glitch it was taken care of quickly and   cheerfully. It is really not possible to describe the beauty and the service associated with The Lodge Ronda. I am already dreaming of returning.

Idyll Short Term Home Stay

I booked this lodge for 2 night at the end of January 2024 for me and 4 of my girlfriends.  Prior to our arrival, Alicia was very communicative and helpful with arranging our check in time, chef -prepared meals at the lodge, wine selections to have on hand, and massages in the massage studio there on the property.   

We drove straight to the lodge where Alicia met us to check us in and make sure everything was perfect for our stay.  The lodge, itself, is so spacious and upon our arrival, the fireplace had a welcoming fire going. We each had our own rooms, with doors opening to the outside patio.  The views were exceptional, and the weather was so nice, that we slept with doors open.  Rooms are well-appointed and very comfortable. 

We told Alicia we were planning to meet a tour guide in Ronda city center.   She gave us the name and number of a local taxi driver to call for a reliable, safe ride.  He was fabulous and was at our door to pick us up within 15 minutes, then came back to town to drive us home when we were ready. 

Our chef-prepared meals were fabulous, and the chefs  waited until we had all had our spa appointments to prepare the meal and serve to us at the long table together.  The masseuse did a phenomenal job, as well. 

I cannot recommend this property enough. A perfect spot to gather with friends, family, or colleagues. Be sure to make time to just spend on the property to enjoy all of its beauty and amenities!

A welcoming retreat to relax and spend time together for our girls' trip!

We held a birthday party at the Lodge in September for around 30 people. Everyone stayed either at the Lodge or at the lovely hotel. The service was fantastic, relaxed and flexible. Nothing was too much bother, the team were clearly very experienced at running events and for the weekend set up tables and chairs in the garden for the larger meals, organised transport for the guests coming from the hotel, produced a delicious birthday cake ( with not much notice)  and generally sorted out any minor glitches. All was done with great charm. We had the private chef for several nights again with fantastic food. One of the cleaners even offered to drive a guest to Ronda when his taxi was late so he wouldn't miss his train.
All our guests had an amazing time so much so that some booked to stay extra days at the hotel!
I would highly recommend the Lodge (and hotel) for events like this or for a family holiday or group of friends staying. The flexibility means you can self cater, have all meals provided or somewhere between the two.
Plus it definitely looks better in real life than in the pictures!

Amazing stay with fabulous staff and service

We have stayed at the Lodge before - it is beautiful and gorgeous but I must advise all interested parties exhibit caution as this time The Lodge Ronda  have cancelled our stay with with under a week until our flights (which are already booked). A computer glitch is being blamed for the double booking and we have been offered the affiliated hotel (for the same price although it is cheaper) or different dates in September neither of which work for us. Book with care - if we cancelled now we would have to have to pay the entire cost of the Villa, it is simply unacceptable for such short notice cancellations.

Overbooked and trip cancelled with under a weeks notice

Attended a wedding here over 2 days, amazing place for a wedding, only 7 rooms so wedding party all stayed here, great idea to have them all together, 2 days of fun and great food, slight hiccup when cooker broke down but the hotel managed to cope and the evening when off as if nothing happened, a sign of a well run hotel.
The food on both days was simply fantastic and the owners were on site to see all went well. We stayed in the sister hotel which is about 15 mins away so were able to get there quite easily, fantastic venue and fantastic place.

Wedding bliss 

Over the week end of 24 th June we celebrated my daughter's wedding.
We had the whole lodge to ourselves and it felt like our home for the week end. The owners and staff were incredible basically running behind us making sure we all had what we needed. Never stressed, always happy to help, playing with the baby, it had a good feel of relation in between the bosses and the staff and to me it made the wedding incredibly relaxing.
Food ,views, attention to details all were perfect. Thanks to the Lodge 😜


Wedding venue

We stayed at The Lodge as overflow rooms for the La Fuente de la Higuera  hotel which was fully booked.
However it is completely separate from the hotel and is a car drive away, so best to see it as a separate place to stay. 
The rooms are very comfortable and air conditioned, the communal areas are well thought through,  and the breakfast is fresh and tasty, brought in by the staff. The views all around are stunning and it is a very peaceful setting about 20minutes by car outside Ronda with a pool to cool off in.  If you don't mind being self sufficient (the staff are only there for breakfast and cleaning the rooms) then it's a great place to stay!

The Lodge is a lovely place to stay, in a completely quiet and rural setting. It can be booked for a group, but we stayed here as the overflow accommodation of La Fuente de la Higuera. No staff on hand, but they arrange to come and check you in, and also provide a superb breakfast and refresh the rooms. It is at least 20 minutes drive from Ronda, but we liked the quiet compared to the bustle of the city. The grounds are lovely. There is a nice pool, and great views. We stayed with another couple and only one other room was occupied ( there are just 7 double rooms). Not the traditional hotel experience, but supremely comfortable and peaceful

Peace and tranquillity outside Ronda

Waw. I don't even know where to start. I looked at many photos of this place before we arrived and I really didn’t think it would be as beautiful in real life but The Lodge Ronda is absolutely stunning. The house itself is beautiful, clean and well maintained. Every room is spacious with gorgeous decor and furniture. What makes this places special is the breath taking scenery. It really is hard to capture its true beauty in photos, you really have to be there to believe it and take it all in. We had our wedding at The Lodge and Gina and her whole family were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They made all of our wedding wishes come true, nothing was too much trouble. The service, food and drinks on the day were absolutely perfect. The chef created exactly what we asked for and it actually tasted even better than we imagined. Gina and her family even helped to locate accommodation for family who had a last minute cancellation completely out of the blue two days before the wedding, they took all of our stress away which really let us relax and enjoy the run up to our big day. We honestly can’t thank each of you enough! We truly had the most perfect wedding at The Lodge Ronda and we can’t recommend it highly enough.
