Guillermina and her House were what we needed for a relaxing weekend. Very clean, tidy and perfectly located, the place is perfect to start exploring allí the surrondings. Que Will Come back for sure.

Perfect

Beautiful location at the end of the road which leads through the valley. It’s very quiet and in gorgeous scenery. Perfect base for hiking: the Lago de Valle, Brana de Sobrepena and Lagos de Saliencia trials start directly from here. Owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay very much. Love to come back and stay at La Corona del Auteiro again!
Good-sized lovely decorated room with skylight and French window and amazing views, good bed, we could sleep here very well, decent bathroom with bathtub, on the ground floor common cozy lounge with open fire place, good breakfast including good bread, home-made cakes and cookies, different hams and cheeses, yoghurt and fruits. Delicious dinner, you need to order in the morning when you like to have dinner in the evening. Very good salads, tenderloin (solomillo) and entrecote were fabulous, big portions. When you are interested in culture, ask for a tour to the old mill (molino) on the grounds, 2 minutes’ walk from the hotel.

Lovely place in Somiedo

My family and I spent three nights in July in Valle de Lago, the village is the place to choose if you want to enjoy the beautiful nature of the valley since many hiking trails start here and not in Pola de Somiedo (main village in the National Park of Somiedo- 8km far away) The rural hotel is run by a lovely family from the valley so they can give you informatio about what to visit and what to do in Somiedo area. The rooms are really cozy and clean. Food is served in a restaurant/bar next to hotel. The menu is not wide: three/four starters, three/four main courses and dessert/fresh fruit. They only use high quality products of the region and everything is really tasty! Breakfast is included and it is also very good: coffee/tea, juice, cake, toasts, fruits...

We did the Silencia Lakes Trial, the Lago del Valle Trial, Braña de Sousas Trial (all of them starting from Valle de Lago) and the Braña de Mumian Trial from El Llamardal. We visited a traditional shepards house "Teitu" in Veigas and a nice museum with plenty information about the region (handcrafts, nature, daily life in the valley, shepards work, animals...) in Caunéu. For both museums you pay 3 Euros.

If you love hiking, nature and tradition then you have to discover the National Park of Somiedo and this cozy rural hotel

A home for hikers

Beautiful rural Valley. Looks like the "Hobbit shire" . We loved the room (3 nights) and would surely go again.
There are 5 rooms (cornerrooms are the most nice and big) and a common room.
The room is nicely decorated, but we start to remove all the lace curtains ( and put them after 3 days back in place. Perfect clean.
Every morning and evening the cows pass your window.
For me, this was the best stay of our 12 day trip (Somiedo, Leon, Picos) in Spain.

We where the only guests. The bar / restaurant is 20 meters away, and that is where the good wifi is. Luis don't speaks english (as hardly anyone in Somiedo..), but is friendly, and willing to advice you with the help of google translate:)
Breakfast with cake, bread, very nice choritzio, coffee, fruit, juice.
Luis serves rural simple dishes. We ate here twice. (Once steak, once trout).

The hikes where this end of may fenomenal, especially when you like the different plants. Sometimes snow up in the mountain, oaktrees still without leaves, 14 /16 degrees warm (nice for walking) some sun, some rain ( but not all day). 
Bring a binocular, and you might see a bear high up in the mountain.
(My partner saw one through the binocular of another tourist.
Do the silentia trail;  the "branas de sousas " and the entire valley. All very nice!
You can have a cool horse ride up to the branas the sousas ( when you can ride a bit). 2 hours at about 25 euro. You can also do the big walk from Perral to Villar de Vildas ( and back) when you are courageous enough ( we did it half, on a cold and rainy day); but the trails in Valle de Lago are more nice!

This was a really lovely stay in a lovely valley!

Yes, this is what we where looking for!!

This a very comfortable, newer accommodation in the heart of Spain's Somiedo National Park and provides a great base for day hikes in the area. Staff was very helpful and have intimate knowledge of the area but be advised there isn't much English spoken here. Food is served in an adjacent restaurant which is also newer and well kept. The menu is very well done and traditional Asturian. Ample breakfast provided. Those seeking a more authentic, rural experience with incredible hiking opportunities will not be disappointed!
