Excellent view and setting, right on the pathway around the cove, with access to 3 or 4 coved beaches. Some are accessed by steps only but the main beach is ramped access. The accomodation is spotless and clean with balcony views accords the beaches and cliffs. Everything you need for a self catering apartment in luxury. Three or four minutes walk from the bars and restaurants.

Excellent setting

We stayed here at the beginning of September. I phoned in advance to make sure booking.com had passed on my booking. I was given the number (in Spanish) of the son of the family who owns the apartments. He speaks very good English and was able to confirm my booking and answer a few questions that I had. We got the last accommodation in this block. It was just a studio - the rest are 1 or 2 bedroomed apartments - ours didn't face the sea - but we knew that it was the only accommodation left. Would we return - DEFINITELY - but we would book earlier to get an apartment overlooking the sea and amazing beach. The studio was very clean - it had a washing machine and a coffee maker - the Italian type that you screw apart put the ground coffee in the middle, fill the base with water and put on the stove. It had a drying rack. It had a tv but we didn't use it - I think it was only Spanish channels and we don't speak Spanish. There was free parking underneath the apartment block and an inside stairwell to the reception area. There was free wifi. Our studio was on the ground floor with a terrace facing the street. There were European shutters - some of them did stick when you were trying to close them at night but we managed to manually coax them down if the other person simultaneously loosened the cord. The older couple possibly the owners who seem to run the apartments are around in the daytime were very helpful - they don't speak English nor we Spanish but we got by. The village has many nice restaurants and has an salt water 'natural' pool in the rocks on the coastal way into the village centre which takes about 5-10 mins. Theres also cafes for breakfast/lunch if you dont want to make something in the apartment and a supermarket within 5 mins. We also found some great restaurants in the centre that do really great 'menu del dias' - 3 courses plus a drink and a coffee for around 10-13 euros pp. We also found a very good gourmet restaurant - expensive but had we found it earlier we would have gone - they did a tasting menu for about 50-60euros per person - so the village catered for all gastronomical options....Would definitely return to this village and to these apartments - lovely stay.

Very Good Studio Apartment

Walked through door and immediately in front was French Windows with fantastic view. Although a small studio apartment it had everything we needed and more.( No kettle but we always take own )  outside is path taking you to beaches port and I used it to go to well stocked supermarket. It was a bit further to walk but view was breathtakingly good. Tapia is a scenic town  which I wished I could have spent more time in. We plan to return

We stayed in the studio apartment - sadly only for 1 night.  It was out of season, so when we arrived we had to call the telephone number on the door, but someone was with us in 5 minutes to check us in, and give advice on Tapia.  The apartment was spotless, and included a decent size bathroom, and a kitchenette in the main room including a washing machine.  There was also an outside terrace area.  We booked on booking.com, and we're sent detailed directions including a map - we found the place very easily.

We'd love to go back , and will definitely stay here again.  The location is perfect, and only a gentle stroll to the port area.  The beaches look stunning, and I definitely need to swim in the seawater pool next time we visit.  Not too far to drive to visit the Cathedral Beach (Playa Ais Catedrais or Playa de Catedrales).  We found the locals and bars very friendly and open to our limited Spanish skills.

Perfect

Really nice place, everything is new, clean and good quality. Very comfortable with everything you could need for a vacation. Kitchen for cooking with a supermarket a few blocks away. Free underground parking. Located overlooking the beach in the small town of Tapia de Casariego. No complaints.

Great Vacation Apartments

Probably one of the better offerings in town. A basic tourist apartment.  Not a lot of staff support (only person on site is the cleaning lady) but it was fine. The apartments are pretty basic but clean and in mostly good shape.  Biggest issue was the mosquitos as the windows do not have screens. It looked like one family brought their own netting. Otherwise get the plug-ins.  Left with a lot of mosquito bites from having to sleep with open windows as there is no ac.  It gets very hot in the summer!

If you are on the camino, this is a clean place to stay and you can do laundry.
