From being greeted on arrival and for the 4 days we stayed there, we could not fault Casa el Morro.
We stayed in room 102 and loved the decor and layout. The bed was also surprisingly comfortable. 
Everywhere was easy to get to from Uga and overall we had great time there and will 100% return to stay here 


All round lovely place 

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights at the end of February 2023. Casa el Morro was perfect for us. Very quiet and we loved having a kitchen. We had a massage one night and I did a lovely kundalini yoga class with the owner. The breakfast was generous.

A peaceful oasis on the outskirts of a charming village and in the midst of the Lanzarote vineyards. What more could you ask for. We stayed in Leo cottage - perfectly secluded with a lovely shaded garden to relax in, complete with 3 areas to sit, a daybed and a swing chair. There was a BBQ available, but we didn’t need it thanks to the delicious food offerings in nearby Uga. Breakfast was served in a beautiful glass walled room at the back of the property, and was fresh and plentiful. The pool area is stunning, plenty of beautiful comfy daybeds to lie on, both in and out of the sun - and even in early March, the water was a perfect temperature. We didn’t have a car, but this really was no problem - 15mins in a taxi will get you here from the airport, and the village of Uga is only a 5 minute walk away.  We walked to the nearest Bodega - El Tablero, which was divine. Others are further up the hill - must confess we took a short taxi ride up, but meandered our way back on foot after sampling the delightful Lanzarote wines. Raquel and Laura were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and have created something wonderful here. We tend not to go to the same place twice, the  World’s a big place  after all - however in these crazy times, it’s great to know we have a beautiful bolt hole for utter relaxation.

Peaceful Oasis

We spent a lovely week in room Isadora. A great choice for our first visit to Lanzarote. It’s a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of the coast and all the better for it (Playa Blanca is an easy 20 minute drive for lunch/dinner). We loved the comfy, shady daybeds by the pool and the natural shade of palms, eucalyptus and bougainvillea around our terrace. Breakfast was tasty - we loved the different home baked cakes and tarts each day and the fabulous local rye bread. Raquel and Laura were both great hosts. Highly recommended

Perfect quiet getaway


We stayed in Leo which is a lovely room. It has it’s own garden which is not overlooked. ! Perfect space for my wife and I. 
It is our third visit and we will go back. The staff are there to help and can’t do enough for you... unbelievable!
Great for being a base for trips around the island which itself is a glorious place to visit. The island is still unspoilt and you can get away from it all. Lots of places to see- artist Caesar Manrique has seen to that- but the coast and views are sensational. Timanfaya is a magical but also breathtaking spot- showing the Earth’s power in a breathtaking way.

Casa El Moro- my favourite place!

Casa el Morro is built in a local style and well-placed in the outskirts of Uga. Our apartment was beautiful and large enough for the both of us. The breakfast offers a good choice and is very delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Beaches and all major sites such as the Timanfaya National Park can easily be reached by car in 10 to 30 minutes - depending on were you want to go. There is a very good Bodega nearby. We spent 10 nights and were more than satisfied.

A very nice place off the tourist hubs

We stayed for a week in Raquel apartment as a group of 5 (2 adults and 3 children aged 10-13). The apartment was much bigger than we expected - more like a self-contained house. Great outside spaces for relaxing around the apartment. Bedrooms decent sizes with loads of nice furniture from Asia/Morocco about the place. Decent kitchen and perfectly well kitted our to self cater. Quite rustic in feel, as advertised (but stylish boho rustic and certainly clean and comfortable). The hotel in general feels very Moroccan in style. Pool and pool area totally lovely - with plenty of interesting and comfy day beds to enjoy. Pool a little chilly for some of us - but fine once you’re in and big enough to do a bit of exercise. We also enjoyed Raquel’s yoga class (low impact Kundalini style).  Cute breakfast in dedicated little space. Location is excellent if you want to be away from the touristy resorts but within easy reach of nice beaches (gorgeous Papagayo about 20-30 mins away and same for stunning, dramatic Famara). Lovely little restaurant nearby (Bodega de Uga) as well as decent local-style places in Uga and nearby Yaiza. Some brilliant easy walks nearby too (Volcano El Cuervo was amazing). All in all, a perfect place to soak up some winter sun, chill out and enjoy the hotel and pool while also being able to enjoy the many treats Lanzarote has in store. And very good value too. Car definitely recommended. 

Special little hotel in beautiful Lanzarote 

Good Value, spectacular location lovely staff and owner. Lanzarote is unique and hard to describe; you really should visit this place. 
Local restaurants were good as per trip advisor 
Car hire was cheap. 

Will be going back soon.

Can’t stop thinking about this special place.

We booked the garden room which we couldn’t find photos of. Big mistake since this wooden single storey had no daylight except for a small glass window in the bathroom ceiling. 
The bedroom was very small and extremely dark with awful brown curtains and tatty bed linen. The bed had seen better days as all the furniture did. The towels were ancient and almost threadbare. Felt like being in an very old persons neglected apartment. We asked to be moved but we’re told that they were full. Thoroughly depressing. Couldn’t wait to leave. Spoilt our holiday and put us off Tenerife.

Shabby but note the  Chic!

Beautiful place and lovely room. Managers are just lovely and so helpful. 
It is very well placed to discover Lanzarote and has a beautiful view.
The breakfast is super, with fantastic home made cakes and bread.
