An excellent, simple, family friendly family run site. We stayed only a couple of nights and wish we had stayed longer !. They had everything you need and more, superb friendly staff who were very flexible and accommodated us. Only 10 minutes walk down to the fabulous beach which was better than expectation (which was high). 2 days stay felt longer and we were super relaxed - We will definately be booking to come back and stay longer in one of their "extra" gitotel cabins ! thank you for the fabulous stop on our summer roadtrip - the best so far !

Superb, family friendly relaxed site !

I liked this place. Friendly and calm. The landscape and the coast are fantastic. From the campingplace it is maybe one kilometer to the beach who is really beautyful with all the rocks. Good place to stay, price good.

Friendly place

Nice area and just a short walk to The beach. The owner and Staff were really friendly. Its clean and quiet. A really Nice place we whould like to return to in The future. allso a Dog friendly camping! 

Great place to visit with The family!

My wife and I, our two sons and their families stayed in three bungalows while celebrating my 70th birthday. We all had a warm welcome from Luis and his two colleagues and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the well equipped and comfortable bungalows. We had several meals at the on-site restaurant and particularly enjoyed the Fabada Asturiana, the local bean stew. The camp sight is quite small and safe, and four grandchildren enjoyed making both English and Spanish friends.

The beach is a ten minute walk away but it's a steep climb back so if you feel like driving there is plenty of (free) parking.  The beach is fabulous with over half a mile of fine sand and excellent for surfing as well as having rock pools suitable for small children. There are lifeguards and a good beach cafe.

The camp sight provides a large folder of information about local attractions and activities. The local town of Luarca is well worth a visit so is the small village of Puerto de Vega which has an excellent choice of seafood restaurants. The latter can easily be approached by a beautiful cliff walk.

I would thoroughly recommend Camping Playa de Otur - we hope to return. Muchas gracias!

Friendly, comfortable and peaceful campsite

We stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow.  It was basic accommodation but just as described. It was very clean and had everything we could want in the way of self catering equipment.  As towels weren't included I contacted 'Luis' before we travelled and asked if it was possible to have them provided and he immediately said he would arrange this for me.  When we arrived we were given details about where the nearest Supermarket was and took up the offer of preordering fresh bread for the following morning. On our first night we ate in the restaurant and had a very nice dish of 'Fabada'.  All of the staff we met were very friendly. Luis spoke English quite well, and the other staff were eager to help.  Between us with a combination of a bit of French and my very poor Spanish there was no problem communicating.  The beach is a short walk away along a well maintained but very steep road.  There is a car park near the beach if you don't fancy the walk.  There is also small beach side café/restaurant.

Comfortable accommodation in good location

In a lovely place near the beach with a very warm welcome - they can speak English, French and Spanish.
Nice spot we were given with a number of options.
There is a shop and restaurant which seemed to be well provided.
The only issue we had was the number of dogs that were not well controlled and so were barking through a lot of the day and night - otherwise a very good place to stay
