Excellent
97 reviewsI enjoy an old review now and again, and Im totally honest and realistic and feedback what I experienced personally and ignore stuff that was uncontrollable. Ye get eijits saying hotels are bad because the weather was bad or because they booked the wrong one. Sack that. Lets go: Location - belter. Valencia is a big city, so if you're expecting somewhere you can just be 10 feet from everywhere, good luck with that. Do your research and book the area you want to be in. For me this was spot on, Travelled with 2 kids. You're 10 mins walk from the (beautiful) beach. Few mins from the Marina. If you cant enjoy a wee dander in the sun to the beach you're going to the wrong place. I loved it. Plenty of shops, coffee, cafes just outside. Bus stop outside the door, metro a few mins away. Hotel - well Hostel really. Or maybe a wee mix of the both. Staff were 100%. So nice. So friendly. Always around and smiling and saying hello. Rooms were cleaned every day. Fresh towels. Fair play to them. Nice little breakfast in the morning. Coffee/Tea/Breads/Fruit. Lovely. Rooms were small but that doesn't bother me. You're not in Valencia to sit in your room are you? Air conditioned. Tips - Electric Scooters are a great way to see a lot in a short time. 10 euros for an hour or 25 for a day. Get into the Turia park area. Takes you right through the city. Up past the science area which is class. Play parks for kids. Cycle lanes. Green areas. If you want to go shopping go to the Colon Area. 8-10 euros in a taxi from the hotel. Buzzing with people. All up, great hotel, great City. So glad I went and kids loved it. There is a unique feeling to Valencia and a few of the locals there I spoke to said exactly the same thing - Day and night, its a peaceful city. Feels very safe and placid.
