It was a sensational experience, we slept in one of the bubbles, under the rain and under the stars, all in the same night. Total disconnection that we so longed for. The attention of five stars, a spa with views within a 200-hectare estate that is a pure wonder. We dined with a delicious picnic that prepared us on a trip and took us to the bubble, with all the details. We had the bikes available to us throughout our stay to tour this impressive estate, which is looked after with care and dedication. The extreme countryside is extraordinary, the cornfield leaves you without words, the delicious breakfast. We will definitely return. 100% recommended.

A unique and sensational experience to repeat without a doubt.

It's a small paradise. A farmhouse in the deep Extremadura, near Valencia de Alcántara, lost in the middle of the countryside. It's a set of 7 cabs, a luxurious lodge by a private lake. They define it as ...the luxury is the space, the rest, the tranquility that invades everything in this immense alcornoque farmhouse: more than two hundred hectares just for you. So that you can escape and feel the logic of nature. And I can't agree more. The rooms are individual suites, precious, small independent bungalows splashing the countryside, and the facilities have different lounges, spa, breakfast lounge, and 200 hectares of alcorno. A perfect destination for escaping, relaxing, enjoying nature, and the beauty of the countryside.

Fantastically beautiful.

The two lounges one overlooking the lake are very cozy and allow you to relax while drinking a drink, all attention to detail. The spa very comfortable, overlooking the countryside, with a small gym attached, at last, we return home as new and with the batteries charged wishing to be able to repeat.

Simply from Ten!!

It's an ideal place if you want to relax and rest, but really you just have to get out of the farmhouse to eat, everything else you might need for a perfect weekend of relaxation is there: the wonderful environment, the great breakfast with the Iberia de bellota included, the attention of the employees the best of all, and if you add to that a couples spa session, with no one else, the perfect gift, so to speak.

Carola has done a beautiful job re-furbishing this countryside "farm" to a lovely inn.  Our room was large and quite comfortable, with a beautiful, modern bathroom.  The staff prepared a delicious lunch of local salads, jamon, salmon and potato tortilla which was served alongside their lake.  The lakeside was also a great place to relax with a cocktail in the evening.  They have a pool too, and it enjoys a beautiful vista.  Great place to relax and unwind after touring.  The WiFi was spotty during our visit, but it was being looked into.

Tranquil Countryside Inn

We had a wonderful time with the other guests staying and with the owners and their family who are lovely and make you feel almost a part of themselves for the loving treatment they always have you concerned about your well-being. It was to be able to perform the perfect sun salutations by the lake and the rest of the classes at the Spa. Carola, thank you very much for your mimos, I loved the Alma, all the extreme products: your eggs, embugs, your wine, your mermaids, what you eat fresh eggs, and why you have no doubts about the price, thank you very much, we will not be able to return to our homes.

A magnificent estate for relaxing, welcoming, attentive and professional treatment.

OK, this place is different. Not in a bad way, but different enough that you have to be a little open-minded and receptive to its charms and try and be generous-minded in your assessment of the place. The whole is so much greater than the sum of its parts.

The hotel comprises of several small buildings approached by an electric gate and a very long drive.

Nobody here speaks English. Be prepared for that too. But everybody is friendly, even the two large dogs who roam about at will.

The rooms are large and quirky, rustic but well equipped. The breakfasts are good too, served in a building with gorgeous views across the fields.

The peace and the tranquility is overwhelmingly the big selling point. Beautifully manicured gardens and a lake, a spa centre, library and swimming pool with two honesty bars complete the picture.

Drawbacks include the absence of evening meals as it is remote so driving is essential. The dogs are fine but anyone afraid of dogs may be put off.

But if you're feeling adventurous and are prepared to adjust your expectations slightly, then this might just be the place for you.

Quirky and endearing. Very tranquil.

It's a perfect place to come as a couple, family with children or friends. It's in the middle of the countryside with a beautiful lake and some spectacular scenery. The rooms are very charming and are very well decorated and air conditioned. We were greeted by the owner's daughter and explained everything we need to know about the region, she also took us on a tour of the different common areas and the room. It's a perfect place to unplug, away from the urban and with hectares and more hectares to lose and connect with nature. Lo, the quality of staff care, the quality of breakfasts and the comfort of the room. It also highlights the tranquility of the environment. If you have niñ@s teñ@s, there are pates, and horses... oh, the last note of the personal note is that when you move in the floor, when you move around the room, you can say that you're going to the wrong side of the room.

Helena and Mario's dealings have been unbeatable, the best is the bar next door, and the breakfast with its views, we recommend!

Perfect for disconnecting.

This is an amazing "farm", on which are raised horses, cows and pigs, which is located 5km from Valencia de Alcantara. There are only 6 rooms, and we were the only guests there.  The room was spacious , with top notch bedding and fixtures, with one of the best showers I've ever used. The room had an amazing view of the pond, and was extremely comfortable. The kind manager of the farm, Elena, very patiently took us around and very thoroughly  introduced us to the property. The public areas included a beautiful library, where they set out a bar every night, duck pond with families and resident geese and ducks. We spent quite a lovely afternoon sitting on a lounger by the pond, enjoying a nice glass of white wine, listening to the sounds of the birds and feeling the gentle breeze on our faces. 

They only serve snacks, and there are no restaurants within walking distance. Because we travelled there on bicycles, that 10km round trip at night to get to town for dinner was not going to be fun. Elena's husband very graciously drove us into town, then came back to pick us up after dinner.  They are an amazing couple. We felt very well taken care of. Highly recommended, and I would urge a stay of more than a day, to get the most out of the beautiful and peaceful setting.
