Hotel located in the town square. very friendly and close receptionist, a chatter place with him. No elevator. The room is fine, complete with everything necessary, in the bathroom there was also a dryer. Heating and wifi. Breakfast for 5€ maybe something expensive for what they offer and those we have been paying for the road at 3€. To relax along the way is perfect.

Night on the road.

We arrived here in mid-afternoon after an extremely hot trek on the Camino. The kind and friendly owner took it upon himself to carry our bags up the steep stairs to our bedroom. This was small but adequate, as was the double bed. The bathroom facilities were fine, and the bedroom window opened onto the Plaza Mayor, the town’s central square for dining and socialising. But it was so hot outside we kept the shutters over for coolness most of the time.
At €50 for two people, this was good value. The dining room was closed on our visit but we dined and breakfasted al fresco nearby at one the square’s restaurants and went on our way well satisfied.

Small, friendly, good value

The hotel has a great location but there were many flaws and if i were to return, i would stay somewhere else. Here are the reasons why:
1) no lift 
2) no air con or ceiling fan
3) our room is very small
3) I was bitten by some insect - could be bed bugs or something - and hardly sleep through the night :(

A Rather Disappointing Stay

The hostel in Villafranca del Bierzo is very central (in the Plaza Mayor). Very friendly and friendly the ladies who attended us. Great rooms, simple but complete. Breakfast also simple and economical. Very good in general. Very good impression.

Simple and welcoming.

I stayed here while walking the Camino de Santiago. Just my luck--I came here on May 1 and saw the May Day performance in the square just steps away from this hotel. 

The staff is super friendly here, not just polite in the standard professional way, but really nice. For example, the woman who oversaw the buffet breakfast noticed I didn't drink coffee and asked if it was because I was lactose-intolerant. (I am.) She brought out lactose-free milk and made me a latte. 

My room was clean and well-decorated, with a pleasant bathroom. Ahh, a hot bath! The price was incredible for this experience--35 Euros. 

There was a TV in my room, too.

Wonderful Budget Hotel

The location is just on the Plaza Mayor, next to a couple of restaurants, however there are not many options in the town. 

The rooms are small however good enough for just one night on the Camino. 

Staffs speak very little English, however they are all friendly and helpful.

Good stopover on the Camino

The price of the hotel was 210 for the three nights. The price in relation to the area was not expensive, but considering that it was a one-star hotel a little exaggerated. It is not a complaint to the hotel, but to the prices of the hotels in Spain, for that price they were staying in the Palace of Warsaw, a 5 stars and with all due respect there was no color insisting the right hotel could repeat.

Good location

Good Camino stop because of the location but nothing thrilling. Very eighties, a little tawdry but clean and welcoming. There is a restaurant downstairs but looks like breakfast only. Went around the corner for three euros.

Nice Location

Hotel cutre. No plug-ins work. Decoration from 1957 but no post office... at the base of each bed was a fluorescent worthy of a dressing room whose purpose we never found out.. if you try to read a book blindly with the reflection of the fluorescent! Bathrooms between rooms connected, you can hear the neighbor singing in the shower, I was lucky, I was touched by an eight-year-old Elvis impersonator.

Centric and cutre.

Well, the only thing to highlight is its location in the main square of Villafranca, otherwise nothing to highlight, very basic, arrival reception service, but you have to pay in advance because at night they are not.
