I've just returned from a wonderful week at Suryalila and feel amazing for it. I participated in a retreat facilitated by an expert practitioner- the combination of the retreat content, the beautifully created space in the Andalucian hills with the organic locally sourced meals & comfortable accommodation filled the heart & soul with goodness.
Vidya has created a special sanctuary where everything has been created with love & consideration - supported by a very hospitable & welcoming team including Emma & Saskshi.
Whether you're attending a retreat, Yoga classes or just want to decompress, reconnect & revitalize then Surayila should be highly considered. 
Already looking forward to returning next year.

Returned lighter, brighter, replenished & re-energised - a beautiful space

Suryalila Retreat Centre is a perfect place to restore and renew your energy levels. The centre offers a range of yoga classes, amazing food, and incredible holistic massages on a working permaculture farm. It’s inclusive, authentic, and dedicated to operating in the most environmentally friendly way. The staff and volunteers are welcoming, friendly, and do their utmost to help you enjoy your stay. We stayed in a retreat yourself package, joining the daily yoga classes, but also independently exploring lots of different mountain walking routes locally (in a hire car). This place is incredibly special! Highly recommend the deep tissue massage, one of the best I’ve had.

Relax, restore and unwind - a sanctuary!

Having never attended a retreat previously and only dipping my toe into yoga, I was somewhat hesitant before arriving. That feeling was swiftly swept away by the warm welcome and friendly faces I encountered when I first arrived. The team struck the balance perfectly between ensuring you get the most out of your stay while also respecting your space.  There are also innumerable activities one can pursue, from horse riding, visiting a bodega or climbing some of the local peaks. If none of that interests you, the facilities onsite provide enough cover to get you through the day, and the freshwater pool is a welcome hiatus from the sunshine. 

The yoga, which I am a beginner at, was accommodating to all levels, each teacher ensured each individual was catered to throughout the class, ensuring everyone left with a smile on their face and a belly hungry for food. The food is incredible, the cooking team does an amazing job ensuring that every meal is tasty and is wonderfully presented for all. 

All in all it has been a profound experience and one I would recommend to all.

Amazing stay

I had an incredibly joyful & nourishing week, expertly curated by people who really know what they’re doing. The week had a full schedule with daily high quality morning & evening yoga sessions run by Vidiya & Lydia, as well as a wide variety of other interesting activities including acroyoga, kirtan & dance. My particular favourites were the cacao ceremony & the gong sound bath. We also went for a beautiful hike in the mountains. Another highlight was the incredible food, an amazing array of delicious vegan feasts was produced by Gemma & her wonderful staff daily. The location is fabulous & we were blessed by blue skies every day. If you’re looking for a well run, friendly retreat in a beautiful location run by inspiring people who really care about the land that they steward & a real community feel, look no further. Book yourself in - you’ll be delighted that you did.

The Escape Christmas Retreat - best Xmas present to myself ever!

The Christmas Escape week was totally fab. This was my second visit to Suryalila, so I kind of knew what to expect. But this was really special: they pulled out all the stops. Great group, too - all ages, nationalities, lots of laughs. Warm and welcoming staff. Excellent yoga. Great food. With the sun an added bonus all week! I will definitely be returning.

I had the most amazing Yoga & Adventure Retreat experience where I got to reconnect with my body, nature and the wonderful souls who attended. I came back home feeling inspired, recharged and excited avout life. The food is phenomenal - you can taste the love that goes into it. The grounds and facilities are kept up really well and the surroundings and views are magical. I hope to be back at Suryalila in the future!

Magical experience

Suryalila is a special place,a perfect place to relax and recharge. 
This retreat was a perfect combination of twice a day yoga and an outdoor activity like hiking,cycling or climbing via ferrata.
Lidiya is such a lovely person and a great teacher,I really enjoyed the yoga classes and all the other activities.
We slept in a yurt,which was gorgeous.
The food was was so delicious,always freshly prepared and without any additional sugar.I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back🥰



Yoga & Adventure Retreat

Magical place. Beautiful food. Lovely people. I had a wonderful time, the yoga was superb, the massage was the best ever. Overall, a perfect experience in an exquisite location I could have stayed for ever.

My daughter and I came here two years ago and longed to return. We only managed to squeeze in four days but even in a short time the beauty and harmony of Suryalila restores a sense of balance and well-being. The food is spectacularly delicious - each array of dishes looks like a work of art. The massages are wonderful and the yoga classes all varied, deep, subtle, challenging, restorative. A perfect break from the crazy world.

While July in southern Spain is very hot, Suryalila is truly an oasis. 
I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to heal, be nurtured, recover from life's intensity or just soak in the natural elements of other earth.
Between dips in the saltwater pool,  watching sunsets, meeting other people, yoga classes, massages and delicious food my only regret was having to leave. I could have stayed for weeks.
As a yoga teacher myself I appreciated the variety of classes offered, the intelligent sequencing of each class and the clarity of cueing by the teachers.
The entire staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome at all times. The variety and freshness of the food left my vegetarian heart overflowing.
The ambience was relaxed and nourishing on many levels and I'm already planning the next trip - this time in the Spring.
