The place is very nice in the middle of the hill, the perfect apartment and these are like home without a shortage of anything, cleanliness, decoration and comfort I give you a 10, the super attentive and pleasant hostess of very familiar treatment, at night you can hear the cows' ashes on the hill.

EXCELENCE!!

We spent a few great days before Carnival. It's a bit secluded, but that's charming. The owner gave us all sorts of facilities, which we appreciate again. The price-quality ratio is 11. Better still than expected. As soon as the sun rises, it's nice to eat or snack on the terrace. The apartment has details you'd expect in much more expensive accommodations, such as towels and embroidered sheets of good quality. The truth is that we're delighted. If you're going with children, you've got the MUJA stone, Gijón's aquarium, and a lot of nature activities. I recommend visiting Los Caserinos if you're going with children. You can play horses, donkeys, and pigs... And the only thing I'm hoping for is that the access to updated information on the new apartments, Google Maps, and updated maps, will make a better case if you're going with kids.

Tranquility, charm and kindness.

The location is a bit distant from the population of Villaviciosa, on a hillside, but if what you are looking for is tranquility and rural surroundings, the location is the most suitable.The apartment is fine, has all the utilities you may need, is comfortable and very clean.The owner is very pleasant.

A good place to enjoy the tranquility of Asturias, everything very clean, the very friendly owner is certainly recommended, the apartment has everything necessary, which touched us with a small terrace to enjoy a nice landscape.

A quiet place to relax and visit Asturias sites. Very good attention and the apartments very good in all respects. We have a good impression, ideal for families too.Recomendable and more if you like nature.

We spent the night as a family and the site is spectacular and the owner's treatment of 10 everything perfect, we were treated marvelously, the house is fully equipped and the views are very beautiful, the place is quiet.

Very rural and peaceful location, off the beaten track. Awesome place to sit with a book and take in the quite surroundings. 

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean.

If your idea of a great holiday is partying all evening and dancing until dawn, then this entire region is probably not for you... If you like to be in the countryside but within reach of civilisation, then this might be ideal!

Obaya is a small hamlet 3km above Villaviciosa, approximately 600m from the very end of the road itself. The rental properties date from 2006 and are in excellent decorative and functional order. They look out over a quiet valley untroubled by motorway or indeed main road of any description, railway line or flight path. The only sounds at night are a tinkling stream in the bottom of the valley, and an occasional owl.
Such spendid isolation doesn't come at the price of a difficult journey however - Villaviciosa is less than 10 minutes away and has all the amenities of a medium sized town (swimming pool, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, hairdressers, etc.) and the motorway is a further five minutes north of the town.
From Obaya, the major town of Gijon is 30-45 minutes away, dependent on traffic conditions; within an hour you can be in the the Picos de Europa and in half that time you can be on any one of several quiet beaches, some suitable for surfing.
The property we stayed in was scrupulously clean and well maintained; with tiled floors throughout as you would expect, and provided with a TV, oven / hob / grill, microwave, coffee maker and washing machine. A small individual gaetd terrace is immediately outside the front door, and there is plenty of parking for cars.
The owners are very friendly and were keen to help, though they speak only a little English.
The region of Asturias is the cider producing capital of Spain, with a sideline in dairy. It's very green, with rolling hills, bounded on the north by the Atlantic coast, with cliffs and sandy beaches, and to the south by the Picos de Europa, a spectacular limestone range rising to 1500m from the coastal plain. It's a countryside great for walking, cycling, hiking and outdoor pursuits. What tourism there is seems to be oriented towards the Spanish - don't expect fluent English in any but the most upmarket establishments.
