Great value accommodation in the centre of town. We were walking the Camino so we had a very early start so that we would make it to Gijon. They gave us a little picnic in lieu of breakfast which I thought was so kind. We really appreciated this gesture. The room was quaint and the bed was comfortable and we slept soundly.

Good budget option close to the centre of town and nice restaurants / bars. Linked to a local cafe which does excellent breakfasts and can store your bike, this was a great overnight stop on my Camino. Character property, with good, clean bathrooms with great showers and plenty of space.

Would stay here if I’m round this way again.

Small hotel with decent enough rooms. Walls very thin.
One of our number had a passport and money stolen from her room. When the theft was discovered the thief replaced it in another persons bag. This was perpetrated by a member of staff.
Don’t stay here.

It is located in a very central and quiet place, a very cozy hotel with many exquisite details The room that touched us gets a lot of natural light It is all very cozy and the most important thing is that we feel as if we are in our own home.

My experience at this hotel has been wonderful, for me the important thing is that everything is clean, and this hotel complements this with creces, in addition to an extraordinary treatment of the woman who runs the hotel and the staff serving a rich breakfast, a success.

The hotel on the outside is tricky, the inside is much better and the rooms are quite neat, the cleanliness is good too. The truth is that we rested very well. The friendly staff, they looked after us very well. We were invited to breakfast which is a detail to be thankful for because besides it is abundant and it was very good. The meeting of two pegas, the parking is complicated, we were lucky because a car just came out. And the other is that if you carry a lot of luggage, you have stairs.

To spend a couple of nights is fine.

We took the plunder on the way and booked the last hour one of the most pleasant surprises of our trip, starting with the reception by Rocio and following by the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms all excellent and to conclude with a spectacular 100 × 100 recommended breakfast.

 SORPRESA is a surprise.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful.  We have stayed here multiple times, and most recently in early Sept. 2021.  The rooms are so warmly decorated.  They are very clean.  In our most recent room, we had both a bath tub and a shower (which has not been the case in other hotels we have stayed during our visit to Spain this year).  The staff is very accommodating.  The breakfast at the nearby Cafe Vicente was delicious and generous in proportions.  Also the hotel is ideally located for walking around the beautiful town of Villaviciosa and enjoying the local restaurants and stores.   We had another great stay at the Avenida Real Hotel and we will look forward to our next visit to Villaviciosa and our stay in this hotel.

Was more than surprised at this hotel. It is rated 2* but in my opinion i would give them 4*. I was warmly welcomed and the room was clean and comfortable. The view was excellent. Beautifully situated in the heart of the town.

Fantastic

State here for one night on my Camino Norte hike. The hotel has reasonable rates, is quite charming -old-world artistic, sort of what you’d find in Paris- and Vicente and his team are friendly & always helpful. Rooms have hairdryer & mine even had a fridge (23), and a small semi-tub but no coffees maker though breakfast at the nearby coffee is included￼. You can hear your neighbors if they’re loud, but overall a truly pleasant stay!
