Very nice stay. Helpful staff, good cooker and owner always ready to help. Also go for Safari arranged and driven by owner :-) ......For sure tray lunch or dinner. Awesome early morning with lots of nice birds and sounds. Quiet locality....

2 nights stay

Stayed 2 nights in January was a bit wary after reading reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Room big enough and clean 2 chairs on the veranda. A little distance from the rock but the surroundings much nicer than in dusty Sigiriya. Sigiriya has nothing apart from the rock so no need to stay in the centre. Very relaxing area near the main road but not on the main road. Bus to Sigiriya and Dambulla pass so no problem getting around and very cheap. Sigiriya 5 minutes and Dambulla about 15 minutes. Early morning to Kandy bus 6.45 passes on the main road but get there early about 6.20 as it will pick you up on the way to Sigiriya and ensure you get a seat as the bus was very very busy. Also this bus will take you to the rock so you will be ready to climb at 7am when the ticket office opens.  Rooms air on was just ok and fan a little noisy. Manager was one of the best your wish was his command and also very good cook we had vegetable curry very nice and lots of it!!!!

Much better than the reviews say

We stayed here for 2 nights. It's basically 2 rooms side by side.  
Like everywhere in Sri Lanka, the people were abolutely lovely. 
That said, the room was not great. It was cleaned when we arrived, while we waited. Bathroom was somewhat shabby, it took us a few minutes to get the shower working and it wasn't very hot. 
The food we ordered in the evening, the ubiquitous rice & curry, was quite good. Breakfast was adequate, nothing exceptional but otherwise fine. 
Wifi is a wireless router with a 3/4G stick plugged into it. Works fine when it's there, but you have to ask for it and they might take it away when you least expect it.

In a nutshell: ok for a place to put your head down and you're not to demanding.

Ok if you're not fussy

A lovely local women, where we stayed the mayor part of our Sri Lankan trip, booked us the hotel. 
We spend two nights over-there and be sure that this nights were the baddest nights of all our journey. First of all the food that they offer us when we arrive was four times more expensive that in town ( we noticed the price on the bill the last night of our stay, it was pretty different of the price from the menu) and trust me this food was not a good signature for the good local food. 
Both of the rooms weren't clean. The beds and the bathrooms were very silly and wet. We had to enjoy the presence of insects, reptiles , ... alive and dead in the bathrooms. The TV didn't work and the wifi neither.

The breakfast was ok, very simple but good for a camping. 

The big point of our trip was our last breakfast. The owner (who we thought was a Tuk-Tuk driver, but that's not the point) were walking around us like a predator to give us THE bill. First of all we noticed the food's prices grew up on 400% from the initial price. Ok it's an hotel but come on ... !! Than the price of bedrooms were pretty higher than the reservation we had. 
After a fight of more than half an hour, we saved more than 35$ of the bill (better than nothing, but not enough). 

I just can give you one advice! Very close to this camping you can find some lovely hotels with SPA, wifi and everything for less money.

Very bad trip !! Just go away ...

We organize with a local (the women who let us our flat in Colombo) a trip to Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Anaradapura etc. Our drivers rip us off with the hotel first but that's not the point.
When we arrive, the hotel seems really nice, two rooms with wifi and breakfast, really quiet and near Sigiriya and it was something quiet cheap (4000SLK per room and per night, so more or less 26 - 27€) and there was a room for our drivers free. 
The guy who is also a tuktuk driver proposed us something to dinner we accepted and we had a plate of noodle just one as you can find at 450SLK in town, so one plate for 4 people.
The breakfast was nice fruits, bread, coffee or tea, omelet.
Our first surprise, the wifi didn't work, Ok we were here in holidays we don't always need wifi but that's nice when it's said: Free wifi that you have one and not only for the local and not foreigners who doesn't have a dialog account. 
After that, we find some animals in our bathroom like frogs or cockroaches, I like countryside but not at this point..
But the best surprise was when they gave us the bill.
They tried to rip us off just because we were Europeans and friendly so the rooms was 500SLK more expensive (When you spend two nights 2000SLK more just for being european or not that's a shame!) 
And they count 4 plates of noodles in only one little plate. So It was normally one plate 600SLK (that's already a little bit more expensive than in town but ok it's an "hotel") but when you count 4 because you were 4 people to eat in one plate, we didn't accept it. 
So It was almost the fight when we saw the bill, they said that was the normal price and that it's not 3800SLK (+/-25€) that'll kill us. 
So If I can give advises to someone there is a lovely hotel with spa, real wifi and without being a zoo in the bathroom for less than they tried to rip us off.
So reserved something on internet, and don't go there.
That's the worst hotel that I see in the countries I have already visited.
