Pure servis. Nice rooms but no rag for clothes or wardrobe. AC did not Work properly for 1 and 1/2 day. Pure Wi-Fi . Breakfast which IS included only up to 2000 Rupies - so not much of Chrise because most of It was higher price and you have to pay the diference. ID you want something to drink you have to pay. Only in few menu us coffe or tea included. Problem to change It for a juice for the kids. One of the most expensive places in Arugum Bay with not friendly stuff . You Wait for breakfast 35-50 minutes- even for fruit. For pizza 45 minutes and more even u are only one at the place.

Best kottu restaurant in town! The location is perfect and the food is even better. Just located directly at the beach and the crew is super friendly! We had a kottu chicken and some very good pizza’s. The place is very clean as well and you will get the food very quick.

Best place in Arugam bay!

This place is amazing! I stayed at the surf access guest house for four nights with my three friends, and we really enjoyed it. I couldn’t imagine a better location, right at the beach and close to everything. The room we stayed in also offered a beautiful balcony with a view over the sea. They offered very tasty breakfast for a good price, as well as lunch and dinner. The restaurant also had a beautiful location on the beach. The staff is so helpful and very service minded. If you go to Arugam Bay I truly recommend this place to everyone.

Wonderful stay!

Closed beach to public, beach area all around but closed unless your leasing from ocean front property owners. Were 1 block from public paid 6 k for a house per week with  ocean access and denied the area to spread out. Families are all closed up together in a 50 Ft section while the rest of the beach is almost empty.

Owner of hostel set up our private driver - we have used the same driver throughout our journey- he called local taxi drivers who surrounded us and refused to let us leave. They tried to assault our driver and kept opening the doors as we tried to leave... this was 20 minutes of yelling and intimidating us. Most disgusting behaviour and shame on the owner for treating his guests in such a way.

Never again! DO NOT STAY

I stayed here in 2018 and, in retrospect, have decided to write a bad review. Since then, i've got to know Sri Lanka and Arugam Bay a lot better but, at the time, it was my first ever visit. Money was stolen from my room and I never got to the bottom of how it happened. The staff tried to make me believe that it was a girl that I had invited back to the room the previous night and, perhaps naively, I believed them. Furthermore, one staff member convinced us that he knew of many secret spots to surf at. We drove around with him for hours and found absolutely nothing. We still had to pay him over 4,000 rs. for the journey. Looking back on it, I think he knew exactly what he was doing. As I said, this review is in retrospect and something I just needed to get off my chest because it's been playing on my mind since returning to Arugam Bay several times more recently. I feel that the staff at this hotel were very good at extracting money from guests who don't know the area well and are not clued up on how things operate. I've certainly learned to trust people a lot less following these experiences. Hopefully, things have changed, and this review is obsolete but, as I said, I needed to vent to be at peace.

Run by Con Men

We stumbled across The Service Access having a stroll on the beach. Great service and large variety of setting arrangements. With a beautiful beach setting it offers a tranquil location to relax. Extensive menu  with good good. Would recommend visiting whilst you are in Aragum Bay.

Great beach setting and service 

We visited this hotel as a couple and stayed in the Budget room. The room was really worth for the price. It had AC, Hot water, Double bed with a spring mattress. Toilet Amenities were not provided.
There was no dustbin and if you request, they might provide you a one. 

The beach is only few steps from the hotel and there were beach chairs provided in front of the hotel. Great place to chill in the evening but the Cotton canvas above the cabana gave a nasty smell.

Good Place to spend the night if you are roaming around

We really liked this guesthouse. It is right on the beach, which is perfect. The room has air conditioning and is quite spacious. Everyone was very friendly. The only problem we had, was with breakfast. We usually waited more than an hour for our meals.

Lovely stay

We stayed in the Surf Access Point for nearly a week in end June 2017; the location is nicely situated and offers a direct access to the beach and offers all types of services (breakfast etc., laundry). Staff is fairly friendly and helpful. However, only after reminders standard services are offered like change of towels, fresh blankets in room or fixing of internet connection. Thus, there is a clear lack of attention. I would be careful in booking some services (like railway) and else only do that after asking for invoices/written proof since we identified big price differences after going directly to Railway station (Ella to Nuwara Eliya).
