Green valley is a hidden treasure !! It is huge and perfect for all types or travelers. Solo. Couples and even massive families !! The bus stop to haptule is right in front of the resort if you need to go into town. But stay at the resort for dinner because the food is awesome !! Also close to the waterfalls which you can spend a whole day but also could spend a whole day just in the resort relaxing !!! Yoga the manager is the nicest guy you will ever meet !

You must come here !

I visited the place some time back and it was a very bad experience. The rooms are cheap and not so good.Recently I came to know that it is in a land slip area. Holidayers must be careful while staying in these type of hotels. The management must take care of the premises and make it clean.

Horrible stay

Stayed a night with friends for a short layover. Easily accessible from the main road and has adequate parking space. We booked a family room that comfortably accommodated 5 people. Check-in and check-out was worry-free. It was well worth the money we paid for it.  

The main problem was that our room had a door that opened to an abandoned/storage room which also had access from the outside, so the girls were a bit freaked. A loose latch was all that was there to stop the ghosts from coming, but luckily none decided to bother us that night. The bathroom could have been better. The garden looked sort of neglected.

A budget hotel for a layover

I wrote to Agoda after the experience of staying here - we stayed one night out of the two we had booked. The hotel was grossly misrepresented on line it is near a very busy, noisy road and as female travellers we did not feel safe.  There was mould on the walls,  the staff were unkempt - the new manager sat and watched us eat - the staff were asleep in the morning only the chef kitchen person was available to help and he did his best.  He made nice food too but the place is a nightmare, I can not recommend it. I do have photos of mouldy walls and the proximity to the road to upload when back home.

Not cool at all

I stayed green valley hotel recently and its was awesome. And nice palce. Very frendly and very quit place. They treat very well for the Customers. I like to recommend this hotel honestly. Staff also very helpfull 

Great place and helpful owner

We arrived by train and loga our host welcomed us at the lovely small tea shop called "website link" a few meters next to the train station, we had a tea and could slow down for a moment. After loga bought some fresh fish for dinner nasal the taxi driver gave us a ride to the home stay, which is to be honest a bit outside from haputale. Anyways the pickup was free. Our rooms were totally clean and loga was dedicated to give us tips and make our stay as comfy as possible. It's quiet and the monkeys came over to have a shy look at the new people staying in the hotel. Before dinner loga gave everybody a massage for free with well treating body oils. This was more than perfect since we did the Adams peak the day before. I need to admit that being almost naked while massage was a bit strange and I would recommend to bring somebody else, but the treatment was healing! A big highlight was the traditional festival at Sunday evening where he took us and everybody was so friendly to us, a stunning evening. That was also the reason why we stayed one more night and had a relaxing time there. He always asked us what we wanted to eat and honestly I had the best curry so far in Sri Lanka. Totally would recommend the place and come over a second time. Best price for best accommodation!
