I was in Sri Lanka for a month and stayed with these guys when I arrived and loved it so much I went back a second time. Very clean and considerate. I had no issues, very safe and a very lovable family. Highly recommend staying here.

Great

We had a lovely stay at Mini's residence. We arrived late at night and the host arranged an airport pick up for us at a very reasonable price and stayed up to welcome us. Our room was well laid out, clean, comfortable with excellent aircon, wifi and a large spacious bathroom with hot water and good pressure. Our host prepared a tasty traditional breakfast the next day and helped us put together a plan for our only day in Colombo. The next day we were leaving for Kandy very early and our host got up early to organise a tuk tuk and ensured we got away safely. Loved the authenticity of our stay and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a good nights sleep and good value accommodation.

Excellent

It was a fantastic time at the minis residence very good breakfast and drop us to the city in there Morris minor it was a 1960s classic Also we loved his vinyl records collection. We had a good time in Colombo with him he took us to the nice pub in the city it's a vintage pub. Minis residence is a very clean and comfortable place. Thanks minis for your hospitality.

Good time in minis

We enjoyed Mini’s. Eranda looked after we us everyday. Lots of advice, trips in his Morris Minor. His lovely dog ‘Coo-Ka’. The traditional Sri Lankan breakfasts are fabulous, just leave them to it. He also has a brilliant selection of vinyl records and lives retro everything. It’s clean, has good AC and is tremendous value. A tuktuk gets you into town for about 500r. Go there.... TODAY!

Lovely family hospitality. 

Last summer my girlfriend and I went to Sri Lanka. Our first stop was Colombo. After a 21 hour flight, we arrived at the Colombo airport. We had a delay and we were to late to check in the B&B. But we decide to just go there and hopefully they let us in. After a 30 min drive our taxi driver just stopped at a small and lovely place. We where thinking: are we at the right place? When I whas thinking: there came a lovely host to open the door, Erande. He was just great. He made us comfortable and made some fresh Sri Lanka thee. Wonderful! The next evening he drived us to see the city and it was just amazing. We ended in an amazing dutch pub were we all grab a beer. Erande, thanks for this amazing experience. We will never forget this! I hope we see each other soon. Thanks, Sander and Sanne!!

Just amazing

The homestay is located in a primarily residential area so is relatively quiet. The room was clean and had air conditioning and free WiFi. The breakfast in the morning was fairly good. The host was helpful in explaining the city and how to get around. There are not many places around the homestay to grab dinner if you get late, there is a confectionery place right opposite and a few small grocery stores nearby though. .
