When we arrived this place was not what we had expected, we'd got quite lost trying to find it and no tuktuks drivers had any idea where it was.
The owners invited us into there living room and we sat a little awkwardly as we where made tea. We weren't quite sure what was happening.

We got shown to our room and where then very happy. Although there are some stains and damp on the walls the room feels clean and has an ensuite bathroom. We only had cold water but the bathroom worked well, there was some toilet roll provided.
There is a mosquito net provided over the bed, a big bottle of water, soap and towels. The fan cools the room nicely. The bed is comfy but I would recommend bringing an extra blanket / sheet... My friend and I always sleep in sleeping bag liners anyways.

There is also a cute little area to sit outside but due to the many mosquitos this is not where we hung out. Its only a 15 minute walk into Dambulla about 1. 2km and a 3km walk to the Cave Temple. Good location but make sure you have a map of the location as no-one knows where it is...

Served its purpose well, friendly people. 

We spent 2 nights here so we could visit Dambulla Caves and Sigiriya Rock.

Positives of this accomodation are lovely host, rooms are nice & were clean, quiet location in the forest.

However some negatives which has resulted in my average review - bed is very uncomfortable with no top sheet or blanket, the walls are paper thin and join the host house so you can hear the noise all night & the dogs were always hanging around and one of them chased us.

It was really nice.. we stayed for two nights. The host are very friendly and helpful.. the room is big, also the bad. And we have a hot shower and good working wifi!:) The breakfast was really good.. we got bread, marmelade, butter, eggs, fresh fruits, tea.. it was wanderful!:) I recommend being there!:)

Great!!!

The house is situated in a sparse forest so you aren't disturbed by the cars on a highway, but it's still only about 8 or 10 minutes walk to the center of Dambulla. Our room was cozy, clean and comfortable and the pair of owners is kind and helpfull. They arranged us a jeep safari from Sigiriya to the Minneriya national park (we only paid like 60$ for two person, which is quite cheap compared to other offers) and they offered a car trip to Sigiriya (we went there by bus - it goes very frequently) but they didn't force us to buy anything. We also had breakfasts and dinners there and everything was very tasty.
Simply - we were very content there.

Nice and calm place - strongly recommended!

This homestay is quite new in Dambulla, a little bit out of way from the city center (15 minutes walking, and about the same time to go to the Golden temple), but it is a nice family house located in the countryside, a very quiet place. 
The family who owns this guest house is very kind and welcoming (I was welcomed with a tea and some sweets the day of my arrival). The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, with a mosquito net, the bathroom had a very good hot shower (the best that I had in Sri Lanka!) and the wifi was very fast. The breakfast included in the price of the room was good (bread, jam, omelet, banana and tea). I also booked 2 dinners that were delicious. 
There were some insects in the bathroom... but just natural for a countryside place. I really enjoyed my stay there and I warmly recommend it!
