It's a nice hotel! Rooms are basic but OK. I missed little more information from the staff, had to ask a lot about breakfast, check out time etc. But all in all nice hotel! Good location, silent but close to the stores at Galle Rd such as Odel and The Factory Outlet, witch are worth a visit.

We had dinner here a few times while with friends. We sat on the ocean front huts and enjoyed the view with our delicious food. The service here are just wonderful. Interesting menu, wonderful meal and have great memories.  Must try!

While this hotel needs updating, it is a good moderately priced  hotel very near the beach. If something needed be fixed in a room, the staff was very quick to resolve any problems.  The rooms were clean and there was hot water for showers (although it was way too hot outside).  Bottled water is provided for brushing teeth. All rooms have a/c, ceiling fans, and televisions. Some rooms have refrigerators.  There is a hotel pool as well.  Note:  It would be better if the hotel offered mosquito nets for the rooms as we were invaded by the beasts. The hotel is walking distance to the beach (one block), many good restaurants, and a grocery store. Tuk tuk drivers are readily available to take you anywhere you want to go. 

Breakfast at the beachside restaurant was included in our rate. However, the menu was limited to a choice of omelet or fried eggs with sausage and fresh fruit juice. Basically, it was "eggs or eggs" every day. We were there for 2 weeks as part of a volunteer group so some of us went to the local grocery story to buy yogurt and cereal some days just for variety.

When we got there, they prepared a double bed for us. We requested for twin beds and they made the beds immediately on the spot. The staff were really efficient. The room was small &dark & cosy. It is comfortable. But you need to get to the balcony to get free wifi. No wifi in our room. Also no minibar in our room (It was stated in agoda that all rooms has a minibar) but there is a minibar at the next room. This hotel is made of 2 buildings. My room is at the side with the restaurant on the roof top. The reception/lobby is at the building across the road. Boat Haus Cafe belongs to the hotel but it is at the beach. We need to cross the railway tracks, everyone does that in Colombo so no worries, just make sure no trains are coming. The free breakfast is made on the spot, fruits, 2 eggs (sunny side up) toast, butter, jam and coffee/tea & you have it at Boat Haus Cafe. For dinner, you can also go to the rooftop and they will send your dinner from Boat Haus Cafe if you like the rooftop environment instead of the beach. I really like this area. On one side of the hotel is the beach and the other side (you need to walk a little) is the main road where there are massage places, shopping places, convenient stores, restaurants, a nice place to have coffee and cake (Barista, sort of their Sri lankan Starbucks?). Also this hotel is really convenient to get to the train, either Dehiwala or Mt Laviniya station. You can walk by the tracks.
