It’s a very nice place to stay ! Clean room and bathroom. Localisation wonderfull, very quiet and next to the city center. Amazing and delicious local breakfast. 
And very very friendly family !! We recommend you this place 100%

Very nice place !

At the base, we wanted a room in the guesthouse next door. Fortunately for us, it was complete and he sent us here! Very welcome, beautiful room, the young lady is very kind and helpful. She offers a great laundry service. Gigantic and juicy meal! Good location near the little adam'speak, not far from the city center on foot, while being quite quiet. We finally stayed for two days. The only bemole is the lack of beautiful mountain views.

Guesthouse to test!

Had an awesome time. Enjoyed every bit of it. Clean place helpfull and caring hosts. Dilini and family is so helpfull. Surely coming back again soon . Looking forwardd.

Ella trip

Very nice landlord who has 2 guest rooms. Our room was clean, the bathroom was refurbished. There is warm water and the water is hygienically treated with a filter so you can drink it. The bed was good and there was also a proper blanket, as it can get a little cold in the evening. There was also a mosquito net. The accommodation is close to the city center, you can walk 5 minutes to the center of the main street of Ella.

Good accommodation, high price ratio

+ lady who met us was very kind, brought us tea and helped us organise our stay. 
+ the two Alsatians are amazing, it was so nice having dogs at the property. 

Cons: 

- we were kept awake into the early hours of the morning with what sounded like 15 dogs barking nearby (I have a recording). We were trying to get away from the reported noise of the town, but this was worse. 
- We were attacked by dogs on our way back from town, at night, and locals had to throw rocks to get rid of the dogs. This is the closest I have come to being bitten by a rabid dog. You then pass a number of other dogs on the alley to the property, all of whom start barking. 
- The property is at the end of a largely unlit alley. 
- Given the two points above, regardless of whether the property is close to the town, I would only recommend getting a tuk tuk to and from the property after dark, neutralising the benefit of its proximity to town. 
- There is no view from the property 
- The room we stayed in was very basic, with one tiny dresser, a towel rack, and a bed. No bedside table, no real surface space to put your phone/book etc. There was also only one plug socket, on the other side of the room to the bed. There is not even a picture on the wall.
- There is no fence around the property, there is no gate to close at night, and there is only one turnkey lock on the door to the room. Given the guest’s room is the first thing someone would come across if they walked into the property, it did not feel secure at all. 
- Water pressure in the bathroom is terrible. 
- The only window in the room contains opaque coloured glass, so it lets light in but you cannot see out, so it gives the impression you are in a windowless room. 
- Only seating area is outside the room not inside  
- The room was incorrectly advertised as 150m2, which is about 1,600 square feet.

Too remote

They were excellent, everything very new, well taken care of and really beautiful. A comfortable bed, hot water, a ventilator, international plugs, private bathroom and everything very clean. In addition, this whole exterior decorated with light lights and is beautiful at night. Part of the family, the guest house was also by two super cute dogs with whom we had a nice time. The family is lovely and always available, for whatever is needed. It is also a welcoming house, which is in harmony with the environment, has a few page views in the company, fruit trees, plants of citrus trees, where we will always have a nice place to relax with a lot of the best restaurants, such as the cabin, the cabin, the cabin etc. In Sri Lanka, we will always have a nice place to relax with a lot of the best restaurants, and we will always have a nice place to relax with a lot of the best restaurants, such as the cabin, the cabin, the cabin etc.

La inmejorable stay!

We spent 2 lovely nights in Wisdom Home in Ella when we thought of staying only one, but due an extremely relaxing ambient, good location and better food made us decided to stay one more. This place lays in harmony with a lot of animals. 

The family has two lovely and friendly German Shepards, all around the house is filled with birds nest, and even have some chickens. You have the option to have a dinner or lunch which the wife will cook with amazing skills and obtaining all the ingredients from their own garden which resulted in the best rice and 5 types of curry of all our journey.

Manjula’s family is really lovely. They showed us all his customs, local food and etc..  If I ever go again I will repeat without hesitate.

The room we stayed was really clean with a comfortable bed with anti mosquito net and a private bathroom. There’s no air conditioner but they have a fan that will serve you well.

A beautiful stay in Ella

We spent one night at the Wisdom - super friendly, helpful and the room was clean. It's simple, but more quiet than in the city centre with an papaya tree and hammoks to relax :-) The family was super nice. They welcomed us with cake, tea and fresh fruits and showed us the way to the nine arch bridge and brought us for free to the train station at 6 am!

Sehr nett, hilfsbereit und sauber! :-)

We arrived on Ella after 10pm with no accomodation booked. We met someone who showed us this place and they took us as a late booking. It is newly built with a modern room. The owner and his wife were lovely and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The only issue we had was with the shower, as there was very little water pressure and was either boiling hot or cold. In saying this, they took on this feedback and were looking into fixing it. It has a great location, very close to Little Adams Peak and the Nine Arch bridge. Breakfast included.

Last minute stay

We spent 2 beautifull days in The Wisdom Home and we can really recommend it! 
The accommodation is located close to Little Adams Peak and Ella city centre.

The owner and his family is very kind.
He took us by car to one of the waterfalls (for free), provide transport to south coast with the stop in Udawalawe national park and baby elephants feeding.
