My wife and I are on our 6 day and we found this place. This place had breath taking views. It was new clean and sudath is a very kind man who greeted us and took up our luggage. He also asked what time we wanted breakfast, we chose 7:30am and it was right on time not a minute late. The spread was delicious with a breathtaking view at the upper level. This place was located about 10 minutes away from the train station and about a 7 minute walk down to the main road where we ate at chill cafe which we recomend as well. Upper level has a barefoot bar. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. I wish we had more time to stay at this place and also had a massage next door. Maybe next time.

Spectacular 

We had booked another place but it was closed and our Tuk Tuk driver recommended this place. 
We really liked it at first because the view is just amazing. However when we entered the room, we weren’t told anything about the lights, wifi, how to lock the door, etc. There was no towels, soap, toilet paper or wifi. When we asked the lady for it she was rude and had a “you should know it” attitude. It turns out the router was in the room and was disconnected, we had to ask like 4 times until she came to connect it and we got wifi. (We tried to connect it but the plug was different and didn't fit in)
Now the joke begins, breakfast... We said it would be at 9, and 8.45 she came to say it was ready. The breakfast was already cold toasts with jam, tea (they didnt even ask if we wanted coffee), eggs and bananas, which i consider very basic for what we paid for the room. We have been in many hotels and guesthouses in Sri Lanka and this was by far the worst breakfast we’ve had. Communication was really hard with her, I would say she doesnt speak English or only speaks the basics but doesn’t understand.

The only thing good is the view

The place is nice, but we had booked for the triple room, and this is behind the house, without views and without window. After talking with the owners we get a new triple room with nice views. 

The breakfast was ok, and the cleaning of the room acceptable. Nice place to spend 1 or 2 days.

Could have been better

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel and it is a good place to stay. Big rooms, nice view normal good bathroom. The water is not every morning warm but that is Asia
Breakfast was served just outside our room and is ok, fruit, egg, toast coffee and tea, everything we needed and wanted. Very good stay just a few minutes out of the center. 

Good hotel with nice view 

We just went for realx in this place second night in ella we choosed in this place so there owner gave us discount how ever this view was amazing but the bathroom was not good at all,we get the breakfast also not value for money how ever this place near by the city you can reach all the place in ella withing 30 mintues from hear.its nice place for if you wanna see the view.its might change the linen in Room.

I was hoping to visit this property and booked a room through booking .com. But when I called the property the person answered the phone did not know how to talk.He was very arrogant, Did not to answer to my questions related to room conditions. There fore I cancelled the room and book another form Ella

Terrible hospitality

Many of the hotels in Ella suffer from heavy traffic noise when located directly at the main road. 
This place is situated off the road but still just a few 100 m from the city. 
It is nice and quiet and the view is amazing. The staff is helpful and nice.
