Only ate here so can't review accommodation. Food was excellent. We had spicy chicken pasta which was divine. Good lime juice ( salty ) too.

Food review only

Came alone to find some fresh fish (I usually always ask even it’s quite obvious as it’s an harbor)… I asked 5 times. The owner said « eat, you will like » I hear the microwave 2 times. The fish arrived, and ofc it was dry and disgusting !!! Even the white rice was terrible. Please don’t go there, they are not even cool people and they are not honest. There are soooo many better places around, don’t get trapped by this place.

Thank you for almost killing us! Service was really bad the guy wasn’t nice at all but that’s fine maybe he had an bad day. But when the food arrived and it was literally raw, we already ate a piece. This can kill someone!!

RAW CHICKEN!

We had dinner and breakfast at the Fort Inn because it was owned by the guest house we were staying in a few steps away: central location, wide choice, excellent food, fair prices, plentiful portions and friendly staff.

Advised!

For Galle fort, this restaurant which has only a few tables offers a family kitchen at almost unbeatable prices on the square. And it's rather good which is a surprise at least a good news. Far enough from the other bobo addresses on Pedlar Street, one can admire the spectacle of all the aisles and aisles from a bigarré world often moved away from the place (dressing issue for example).. Take advantage of the small terrace + 2 tables on the first floor to taste a Thai green or red curry arros from a Lion...

Not the most stylish, but...

We stumbled upon this quaint little place and decided to eat there. We are so glad we did the food was the best we had on our trip to Sri Lanka. My husband had the seafood curry and he was blown away with it. He was gutted we were leaving the following day so he could not return. I had the vegetable wraps and they were delicious. Hats off to the chef

Best food in Sri Lanka

We stayed in Galle for 4 nights and, after our first try, we had meals only here. The seafood is simply delicious! The prices are affordable, the place looks nice! The staff is friendly, looks like it is a family business.

Amazing seafood in the heart of Galle Fort

I can honestly say twe had the most disappointing lunch I and my wife have had in years. A wonderful day in Galle Fort ruined by a very substandard lunch. A simple order of a club sandwich, vegetable noodle dish and Rotti Wrap took over an hour to arrive..When I say arrive it was one dish at a time spaced over 30 minutes.  The club sandwich was the worst I have ever had, I won't go into detail. The noddle dish was OK though tasted lot better pot noddles. The greasy unimaginative vegetable wrap was not edable. I am really not a person to complain but I had to on this occasion. For a restaurant in such a prime location you need another Chef, not a below standard  cook. I understand that covid has affected your business substantially but you have to maintain standards or loose business. Tonight I am glad to be eating back at my accommodation that has only turned out excellent meals.

Really bad lunch

Located in the beautiful neighborhood of Galle, i spent two night at Fort Inn guesthouse.
The hosts are nice and make you feel just like home.
The room is big and the toilet is clean.
The internet is also good and you can enjoy the balcony overtopping Galle’s beautiful breeze at night!
