This is a lovely little homestay however unfortunately during our stay we had no internet and spent most of the time without electricity which meant no shower for Bly a cold one. We were greeted with open arms and offered a hot drink and some lunch. This was great as it was raining heavy and we were very wet. Food was very nice especially the evening meals. Owner is lovely and let us help in the cooking of our evening meal. Room was great. Spacious and clean.

Lovely family home

We went to this Place after the lovely recommendation by the husband of the host who runs the sigiriya cottage. 
The host welcomed us warmly and invited us to her kitchen to join her cooking. We learnt to make Dhal  Curry and enjoyed a bunch of delicious sri lankan currys. As a little surprise we got some jummy ice cream :)
We can highly recommend this place. We would have loved to spend some days at her „Home Stay“ as well!

Lovely home with cooking class

We had a wonderful time at green garden home stay.  The family was very nice. They live in a beautiful house with a very nice garden full of cheeky monkeys. There is a river just down the house and we can swim in it, we really enjoyed it, the water was clean and not cold. We ate a delicious rice&curry and the best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka.

Wonderful place !

We was meet by hospitality and tee when we arrived. The room were fine and clean. We could help with cooking and it was very good and fun to try. The dinner was of course very good and we had also a delicious breakfast.  Thanks for a wonderful stay. 

Wonderful place to stay

We found our stay at this place very special. The room is clean. The hostess made us feel welcome and at home. She is a very good cook. The best dinner and the best breakfast we had during our month tour trough Sri Lanka, was at the green garden homestay.  We recommand everybody to try this place to stay.

Very Nice stay at the Green Garden Homestay

Visited as part of a holiday group for our evening meal. Warm welcome and faultless hospitality, combined with probably the best tasting and reasonably priced meal I've had since arriving in Sri Lanka. Would definitely recommend to groups, couples or families who are looking for plentiful, tasty food at a great price and with friendly, efficient service.
