3 reasons why we booked 1 night at Holiday Inn :
- Relaxing situation : apart from city center with a nice view on rices lands
- Huge swimming-pool
- Only 3 km from Polonnaruwa temples

The place has exactly met our needs ! Our room was very simple but clean, equipped with A/C. Food is excellent and well-served. And most of all, the swimming-pool with beautiful landscape was delicious after visiting the city ! 

We rent the owner's scooter but you can also rent bicycles at the house to save time. 

Thanks again to the people who work there, they are welcoming kind and helpful (the owner even accompanied us to the main road to stop the bus). 

Peaceful place & Perfect guests !

We stayed one night in this place & had the worst night with lots of drunken people swaring out side our room and had the most disturbed night ever.
Thank god we stayed there one night & never go again unless the place has take complains seriously & make a complete change over.
Toilet is poor quality with blocked sink & disgusting smell inside it.
Bed linens were not cleaned & bed wasn't comfortable either.
This place is crying for seriouse loving touch for every corner of it.
Hope the management take these comments seriously & do something about it.

We stayed only for one day. Rooms are big and restaurant is vast. Food hot & Spicy as we requested. We noticed in the same hotel premises Public bar open during dark hours. So we can buy at local rate. Please do not pay in advance. In my case we were FIT's and our driver took us there. Rate is moderate.

Has to improve a lot

This is the Second time our family have stayed at Holiday inn .We had the most amazing, wonderful and relaxing holiday , in fact no words  to describe how magical Holiday inn is. It really does feel like coming home.
The team is extremely friendly and caring.the food is AMAZING !!!.
you must try Rice and Curry.It's delicious...
You can see many ancient and historical place .there all are located center to this hotel.it only few minutes..  
We Had a Wonderful Week in Holiday Inn. Highly  Recommended and We definitely Come Back Again ...

Best Palce to Stay in Polonnaruwa

The first thing you notice when we entered our room was a strong smell of disinfectant , by night fall we realised to our dismay that their sewerage is overflowing. That is after the wash basin in the next room started dropping all the water on our feet and the third room commode started flushing water in to the toilet. We had already booked for 3 days and paid an advance too. The couldnt offer another room with same facilities as such part of the group stayed for 2 days without a television, but they did give a discount of 5% for these mishaps. The management was very poor where we are still to get our deposit back after 11 calls to the hotel. No hot water and don't turn the switch on as it tripped the entire power supply to the room, and they couldnt fix it for 3 days. make sure who ever is in the adjoining room / 1st room is in good terms with you, as ,if he turns his set top box off , there goes your tele too and the kids loved it. the rooms were good size , and the staff was really trying to help you. on a saturday afternoon they somehow fixed the air con for us. The food was tasty and well presented.
