This was a great guest house 10 minutes tuk-tuk drive from centre of Kandy, and therefore close to the main attractions in and around Kandy. It is up a small hill, but all the tuk-tuk drivers drove all the way up so there should be no difficulties.

The owner was a nice guy who always was available for questions and was happy answering them. Felt he wanted the guests to feel comfortable.

Breakfast was served at the time I wanted it. It was an omelet (possible to get other dishes of eggs too I guess) and toast with jam and butter. Fruit was also available. Drinks were water and tea.

My room was with a double bed. The bed was comfy and the bathroom had okay with space. Amenities were bath soap and shampoo. The pressure and temperature in the shower was good, and it had a shower cabinet, so the water didn't make the bathroom floor wet.

The wifi worked very well most of the time. Only a couple of stops for 5-10 minutes, but nothing to hassle with.

Would recommend  Riverdale Breeze and stay again if I return to Kandy.

A great stay

A wonderful stay for two families (4 adults & 4 children) in a leafy suburb in Kandy. We had the entire place to ourselves. The property features large bedrooms, comfortable lounge area, dining room and outdoor garden with a lush green outlook. Rizza is an amazing host who enthusiastically helped us with every aspect of our stay. The city centre is a short tuk tuk ride away but there are local supermarkets and restaurants a short walk from the bungalow. Breakfast was served in the dining and was plentiful and tasty. I would definitely recommend for those that want to stay outside the hustle and bustle of the city. 

Family friendly

Had a lovely couple of days here. It was  exceptionally clean and the family could not be more helpful. Big breakfast, modern clean bathroom, TV and good wifi. Would definitely recommend it. The best place we've stayed in Sri Lanka.

Great place

We booked this place for a night through airbnb
Great place, neat, clean, peaceful.....has all the requisite amenities. Very reasonable priced on airbnb. Vajira is a perfect and friendly host. Very comfortable to communicate with her.
I just felt it was a bit away from the main city centre and if you are in Kandy for a night (which maximum tourists do) then it is more advisable to stay in hotels surrounding the Kandy Lake


Value For Money

Made very welcome throughout our stay. The food was delicious, we had our evening meals there as well as the enormous Sri Lankan breakfasts. The family could not do more to help us, and we came to look upon them as friends. The facilities were spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Top marks, we would recommend to anyone!
