We visited here as a couple of families with young children. This was our second visit to the bungalow and this time was much more better than our last stay as well. The property overlooks Yoda Wewa and has a spacious garden. Rooms are comfortable with A/C and attached bathrooms. It is a place that gives a homely feel and you can relax well. The host, Suresh is a wonderful person and he made sure we were well-cared for. The food was delicious and we had a great BBQ with a bonfire, which was a highlight. Suresh arranged everything so neatly for us. If you are looking for a bungalow near Yala and Tissamaharama, this is definitely the place!!

Wonderful Stay at this Lovely Place

Wonderful hotel in a great location. The hotel is quiet and situated in front of Yodawewa. We spent two nights (February 21 & 22 in 2020) and were very satisfied with every aspect of the hotel. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Even they arranged for a taxi suddenly as soon as we requested, just to go around. The suite was very good with comfortable furniture and the bed was comfortable too. The hotel is very clean throughout, and our room was spacious with everything that we needed. We would definitely stay here again. We would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

I was stayed two days with my friends,i had a great time in this place.really clean rooms perfect service.specially he uncle who helping to the guests with lovely smile 😂😂😂.love this please.hopefully one day ill be back with my family too.

Had a great time

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere & I mean nowhere. 5 kilometre to get to shops. Bungalow was very basic. 2 plates & 2 bits of cutlery. No cooking utensils. The lake is at the back of where the staff are and is fenced off. They say they have a swimming pool but it’s a small thing. 3 metres wide 4 meters long & was over where staff worked. No sun beds. Breakfast was a sorry affair. If I knew any of this I wouldn’t of stayed there.

Isolation

The bungalow is in a perfect peaceful location for your visit to Yala.  The staff are attentive and helpful.  The rooms are large and gardens and terrace beautiful.  There is a plunge pool which was ideal as it was very hot.  A nice way to experience the real Sri Lanka.

Perfect for Yala

This place is like a large villa, with different rooms.
Staff is available all day, but their level of English is limited.
Rooms are clean but basic.
The pool is VERY small and looks filthy.
The garden has access to the lake, but that's about it.
One can ask for meals, but there is no choice. Actually this service is very limited.
For dinner, only water is available.
Breakfast is equally basic. Not even coffee.

Disappointing

The quietness of this establishment. The beauty of the place facing the lake. The spacious and clean room. The proximity to Yala Park. The swimming pool is poorly maintained and tiny. Far from everything, tuk tuk compulsory. No restaurant nearby. It's a pity the boss was absent because the boys who work don't speak English at all. It's hard to make sense. Some rooms overlook the dining room, so there's no outdoor space for these rooms...

Nice trip to Yala, but don't plan on staying too long.

We were lonely, there were no more customers and yet the service passed quite a bit of us. We didn't know English and it was very difficult to communicate with them. The room was quite new and clean, but the breakfast was horrible. The noodles were full of mosquitoes, something that turned out disgusting and we were drawn water from the faucet to drink. So we could only eat a few platans and a tea. It was impossible to explain to them that the food was not in good condition.

Very expensive for what it is

This is a small and quiet place outside Tissamaharama on the border of a lake. We stayed in a so called chalet, a big room with a shower and a kitchen. Everything in this room was in a perfect condition. Especially the beds were even better than at home! 
The pool is very small and not suitable for swimming. The staff was kind and tried to speak English, but that wasn't their best... We decided to eat in and they made both times a great diner! The breakfast is ok; a fruit plate, two eggs, toast, butter and jam. Please: make a decision to make your breakfast or fully Sri Lankan (could be the best option) or fully western and not something in between.
