I first met Ajith 30 years ago when he had one jeep We did an overnight safari in Bundala National Park with his friends. I’ll never forget how much fun it was. 

On our recent family trip I was thrilled to see he now has a fleet of jeeps and employs locals from his village to drive and tour guide. We enjoyed an amazing safari in Yala National Park and although it’s an incredible to see all the big animals he and his guide were excellent spotters for the smaller wildlife too. 

From his years of hard work and providing personalised service he has successfully built a beautiful guest house where we stayed and enjoyed his delicious Sri Lankan food. If you plan on safari and accommodation in Tissa Ajith is the man. Thank you my friend. Yalukama.

Best Yala Safari & Excellent Accommodation

Perfect place to stay before the Ajith safari, for obvious reasons! The rooms are big, clean and have good air-conditioning! The staff is wonderfull, we had great conversations with Rajitha and Ajith and Ajith's wife is a great cook! 
The rooms are on the other side of the street, so very quiet.

Great place to stay before Ajith's safari

Staying in Ajith safari lodge is like coming home to your family. They are such nice people and really make you feel comfortable. We had really good talks with both Ajith and Rajitha and Ajith his wife is an amazing cook. It is nice to stay in the lodge so you don't have to travel anywhere before the start of the safari. This is how we ended up 3th in the row to enter Yala park. We had an amazing time.

Relax start and end of your safari

This was place was nice, close to all supermarket and bus station. The room was very comfortable and clean. We organized Yala tour with them It was a very nice experience. They are experts in safaris!

Excellent safari experience

We chose this hotel because we had also booked a safari at Ajith.The rooms are nice and clean, it is a hotel with good quality/price ratio. Preferably a room with climate. The service is warm. The day after the safari, the boss dropped us off at Tangalle for a reasonable price.

Had a great tour with awesome guide.
Got us into the park early and straight away we were on the hunt for the leopards. 

Within a few hours we found a leopard and yasanka moved the Ute and took photos for us. 

Then we found a pack of elephants, there was 17 elepahants all within 50m. Swimming in the waterhole.

Safari tour with yasanka 

Simple clean hotel stay close to Yala national park. The staff is wonderful and we booked a private safaru tour to Yala wity them. We had an awesome tour and chance to find 2 leopards. Good place to stay for Yala and Bundala safaris.

Good stay!

We stayed at Ajith Safari Lodge for two nights. The Lodge is located above the main safari center. The rooms are very clean and pleasant. The owners of the hotel are very nice and helpful. Food were delicious and one of the best Sri Lankan meal providers we ever met. The management also packed lunch for us on our safari and it was  very reasonably priced. Also the Safari they arranged was the best safari tour we had and can be highly recommended to all other travelers.

Wonderful Nights at Ajith Safari Lodge

We were stayed three nights there while on Yala safaris.  The place is very nice., good air conditioning. The owner Ajith is very nice person.  We had chat with him every evening. Recommended this place. 

Excellent 

This building has Ajith's office in the ground floor. The rooms are in the upper floors with no elevator. So, be prepared to climb at least one floor. Ajith himself brought our luggage to our rooms. The rooms don't have any electric kettle or cups. But Ajith shared his own private kettle with us, as he lives in the same building and we were the only guests that day. It functions more like a house and all hallway and corridor lights are switched off in the night. The restaurant of the lodge actually doesn't function, but you can walk down to a nearby restaurant called "Orchids" which is quite good.
