Dear Sir, 

This is with regard to  the bad experience we had at the reception  hosted by us at your hotel   on 29th May 2022 , to mark the occasion of my daughter’s 12th Birthday.   It is with  extreme disappointment that I  bring to your notice the  embarrassment we had to face,  with  the very poor  standard of the facilities and services provided by your hotel, at the said occasion. 

There were several guests who  came all the way  from England, Australia and Canada to join us with this happy occasion, since we had this party after a lapse of2 years, due to Corona and other  travel problems. Some of them were driven straight to the hotel for the reception from the Airport.   Myself and my husband  were planning and were so determined to make this a memorable occasion and  chose your hotel    after reviewing your website which portrayed a completely different picture compared to reality.   

To our greatest  dismay and extreme disappointment, from the beginning of the function  we were made to encounter many difficulties, issues  due to the  bad management and  poor services of the hotel staff, which are  far below the expected standards. 

Some of the guests were served with the welcome drink after long  hours of  their arrival at the party.  The party  was interrupted several  times with the power failures and  even after switching on  to the generator, interruptions continued.   We were made to continue the function without A/C  and  the guests were so uncomfortable  and sweating profusely. 

Having spent lavishly to have a grand occasion with our relations and friends, we did not get  our monies worth at all,  and my little daughter who was eagerly waiting for the occasion was thoroughly disappointed. 

In short, the reception was a nightmare, and we could not enjoy the occasion but disturbed eternally,   by having to make complaints over and  over, and  demanding the staff to sort out the issues which fell on deaf ears, and no measures were taken to correct the issues until the end of the party. No courtesy shown at least by  apologizing for shortcomings. 

We feel that we have been cheated, since the expected  services and facilities  for which we  were  charged were not provided.   In short, your service and poor facilities ruined our birthday party completely.   I thoroughly regret choosing your hotel to celebrate this memorable event of my daughter.

All in all my expectation of this hotel was way more better than this but from the experience that I got  will not recommend anyone this hotel for any kind of  reception and we will definitely take proper action against these issues.

Bad experience we had at the reception hosted by us at your hotel  on 29th May 2022

Cheaters!! 
We trusted them and totally broke the trust. 
Promised sun and moon for the Christmas dinner but what they delivered was peanuts . 
Ordered chicken biriyani and it was never close to a real biriyani.. 

1. Said raita will be there. No raita. Only a chick pea curry and a mixed vegetable curry 
Who gives these curries in a biriyani!! 

2. Said they will give at 4pm. But had to park in front door an hour until they prep food

3. Said they will give chicken mixed in rice along with roast chicken. No chicken was mixed only roast chicken 

4. Said each chicken piece will be a drumstick with a thigh together, but there were all sorts of pieces 

Never trust them with a large order especially if u haven’t tried that earlier. 

Go hire a chef if u don’t know how to cook and deliver a proper biriyani

Don’t trust them with food

You can use the pool for a fee. We had a swim in the evening and had dinner. Menu is not extensive. What we had was good. Prices are very fair. One portion is more than enough for 2 people. There is an area where you could book for a private get together and the garden for Birthday Celebrations etc.

Spend the Evening with a Swim

We booked the place for a conference. Services were late to arrange but good. Conference staff are trying their best to help. But washrooms are not clean and have been waiting for more than 30 minutes, after informing the Manager that their ladies washrooms have no hand-wash, no soap, no toilet paper .....
Take your own if you are going ....

Need improvements in Management

This is a decent place with budget friendly rates. Reception hall with overlooking swimming pool is stunning. Food is nice.swimming pool is well.l maintained. Also kidds friendly place. Easy access from Awissawella road.

Budget friendly 

We recently had a wedding function here and I am very much pleased with the service provided. delicious food with variation for a budget price with excellent quality. The reception hall is in the 1st floor and everything there is perfect except there is no wash room in the 1st floor. 
Room- Room service and facilities are better than a three star hotel. food is great. 
Conclusion: Excellent place for stay and host a function.

Best Place for functions and best hotel rooms

I attended  a family wedding here and the reception hall is quite decent and overlooks the pool which is open for the general public at a certain charge. Ideal reception hall for meetings, gatherings and functions cos of low cost.

Place is quite peaceful and right in front of the Low level which is currently the avisawella road. 

A touch of a budget city hotel in suburbs of Colombo

This is best place to have your party,and meeting,wedding functions. It's near to Colombo and will be peel the best hotels experience.having a good swimming fool.staff is very helpful.price is reasonable for everyone.
