We arrived at Sooriya Sewana Guest House having booked two nights! Within 5 minutes we had booked another 6. This family was a delight. So helpful, the room was extremely comfortable and the fresh food breakfast each day amazing. Sumeda, was so helpful nothing was too much trouble. He gave us great tips and information making sure our stay at his home was extremely memorable! We were very sad to have to move on. Thank you Sumeda and all your family for having us - a joy. 

A Little Gem

We planned to stay for 3 nights at the end we stayed for 10 nights. The rooms are clean, AC is working, warm shower. The breakfast that is included is the best we had. Fresh mango, watermelon, pineapple, dragon fruits and more. Omelette, bread, jam coffee and tea. If you wish for anything special you could just tell Sumeda (Owner) and he will deal with it. Same is with tours like whale watching, lagune trips, massage appointements or in case you just need a tuk tuk - just tell Sumeda and he will make it happen for a good price. The Reef for surfing and the beach is a 2 Minute walk. It is a quiet area but only a 10 min walk from the main road. You can hike from the door to the „secret beach“ as well. 10/10 we will come back ASAP!!!

Best Location & Best Breakfast & Friendly Staff 

Sumeda and his family are very very nice people. You feel welcome right from the beginning. The rooms are clean and you have all you need. A clean bed, shower (with warm water, WIFI and fan + AC. It is a 3-5 minute walk to the beach and the reef break of Mirissa (if you interested in surfing). 

The breakfast ist delicious. You get coffee or tea, a huge fruit plate, eggs and toast. 

We stayed two days at the beginning, extended to four, and at the end we spent the rest of our vacation there because we liked it that much. 

Sumeda orgenizes everything for you. Different day trips, transport, airport shuttle, surfboard repair. Everything. If you need tips for restaurants just ask him. He knows the best places. 

I would go there definitely again. The price, the rooms, the location and the people are awesome. He was more than a host and became a friend. 

So if you want to visit Mirissa definitely stop by at Sooriya Sewana Guest House.

Awesome Place and super nice Host

Sumeda's family is a really nice family and will help you with everything you need. The room is extra clean and the breakfast is absolutely delicious.
It might be noisy in the morning due to the road traffic but it didn't bother us as we woke up early for surf sessions. 
It's really close to the beach and all the bars but far enough so that you don't hear any music at night. The location is just perfect.
I would definitely go back there! 


Nice family and clean room

At the end of my four-week trip, I was able to stay in a super homestay again. The house and garden, including the terrace, are well maintained. The room is superb. Air conditioning and ventilator for the night. The host took good care of transportation and other matters. The WiFi was stable and fast. I felt very, very comfortable. Thank you very much.

Price performance ratio absolute peak

The place is brand new. The room was great, bed comfortable and great shower. Good attention to detail and I loved the view from the room. 
I was surprised how good the food was.
The place is relaxing, quiet a very short walk to a quiet beach. Staff was friendly and we got showered with attention.

super chilled and not crazy expensive

Our host, Sumeda, has taken great care of us throughout our stay and supported us with every problem. The breakfast and especially the dinner were excellent. The nearest beach is within walking distance.

I had the pleasure of spending a few days here, the rooms are beautiful, well furnished and very cozy, a rich breakfast, warm water and very efficient air conditioning make the living room impeccable. What makes the real difference is the wonderful family that runs the guest house, of an extraordinary availability and kindness. The location is strategic two minutes (perhaps even less) on foot there is the beach of Mirissa and for us who are owned by Surf 2 spot One Point and One Reef Break, very beautiful that work with low and high without wind.
